Zeta Report Ohio Northern University Delta Theta Chapter Fall, 2013 Bid Day We celebrated Bid Day on September 15 th this year. Our theme was Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Crown, and accordingly, our house was covered in red, white, and blue. The entire day was filled with laughter, fun, friendship, and sisterly bonding. We enjoyed our lunch made with love by the Columbus alumnae and took the day to appreciate our new members. The new initiates enjoyed their 6week new member program, where they learned about Zeta Tau Alpha and all their new sisters. Initiation was held on November 9th. 2nd Annual Rosie Bowl For the past two years ZTA has celebrated the life of our sister Roselyn

Derby through a powder-puff football tournament fundraiser. The tournament consists of three games where the alumnae get a chance to try and beat the young actives. This year, our second annual Rosie Bowl was held on November 17th in the center of ONU’s tundra. The sisters also held a Dine to Donate at El Campo the Thursday before the event, where many Greeks and supporters were able to eat for a good cause. Through all of our efforts, we raised over $400 for Rosie’s Relay for Life team. We wouldn’t have been able to have another successful year if it wasn’t for our amazing alumnae who support us with all of our efforts.

ONU’s homecoming theme this year was “Go Bears” and we made sure everyone in the Zeta house was decked out in black and orange. We started the day with the ONU parade. Even though it was raining and freezing cold, the float was filled with bundled up zetas. The girls were able to come home to a house filled with food. We served our food

in a cookout style. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, and plenty of Yoplait yogurts for pink lids. The sisters had fun talking to alumnae and learning about our history. This year was one of the largest turnouts we have had with about 80 alumnae and actives present. After the luncheon, sisters went to the big game to

support our sister, Angela Bouch, on homecoming court. Once again, thank you to all the alumnae for traveling to Ada for the weekend!

October was filled with philanthropy events, as we turned pink week into pink month. Through the coordination of our Philanthropy director, Allison Wetshtein, and her chairmen, Rachel Pronesti and Emily Ickes; Zeta had a very successful philanthropic semester. We started the month off with a pink shirt sale. The shirts stated, “Go Pink or Go Home,” and we carried that attitude in all of our events. The entire campus was covered in Pink as we chalked the sidewalk, dyed the fountains pink, tied ribbons around trees, and handed out pink ribbons. We then celebrated Sweetest Day with a pink carnation sale. Of course, we also placed Yoplait yogurt lid collection boxes all over campus, and the house girls spent their fair share in eating yogurt! In order to spread awareness of our cause, we held a campus wide pink out including the faculty, who could dress down for one dollar. We also hosted another Zumbathon, and shook our booty to save lives! Our favorite day is always the pink ribbon football game. The entire football team

dresses in pink and at the end of the game we created a human pink ribbon on the 50-yard line. We also held a volleyball tournament where Greeks and students competed against one another for a good cause. With the success of the events we were able to donate almost one thousand dollars! Delta Theta enjoys every opportunity we have to spread breast cancer awareness, and we look forward to events to come.
