May 2020 Volume 2 Issue 24 Mark my Words MARK FACEBOOK SITE A FEW MARK NOTES …………….. Brethren. This weekend was to be the Mark Ladies Night at the York Racecourse which is of course one of the highlights of the events organised by the Mark Social Committee. The Provincial Grand Master Bob Clancey and his wife Rose, always attend this event and offer a prize to the Lodge which has the most Brethren attending on the evening. Bob and Rose would like this gesture to continue this year and you are all invited to join in and accept their challenge!! To join in, on Saturday night you and your partner must dress as you would do for the event and present a photo of you both to the Assistant PGM Paul Barham either on [email protected]. WhatsApp, or Messenger. These entries will be uploaded onto the Facebook page and the Lodge with the most photographs will receive a prize of a bottle of whiskey, plus a bunch of flowers for the wife of the Worshipful Master in the post from Bob and Rose. Join in the fun Brethren………….. Paul Barham has organised a special Facebook site, ‘NEYorksMark’ (a private group), to keep us all amused and informed. Currently there are in the region of 228 of you that are friends of the site therefore many of you Mark Men are missing out on a lot of fun, banter and interesting comments and information. If you are a Facebook member please let Paul know and he will add you as a friend but if you not a member please consider joining Facebook, its very easy. If you have trouble joining Facebook Brethren get your children or grandchildren to help you, it is a lot of fun and easy to use. Some of the submissions to the site, with the comments, are included in this Newsletter to let you have a taste of the comments etc…... Those of you who aren’t members may be unaware that our PGM has grown a beard! He is of the opinion that he could have a Charity Shave Off but will Rose let him?? There is a major decision being made in the Clancey household, Rose likes the beard!
