New Zealand is an island

country in the South Pacific

Ocean. It has two main islands

and many other smaller islands.

The Maori name for this

country is Aotearoa which

means Land of the Long White

Cloud.

Nowhere in New Zealand is far

from the sea. You can see how

most cities are located close to

Let’s Talk Name 35

1 You are going to a friend’s birthday. You know that another friend has beer in his school bag.

2. It is your 18th birthday. Your homestay parents have emailed your parents in Thailand to ask if you can have some beer with them to celebrate your birthday.

3. You are staying on a farm. The farmer has a gun. You ask if he can show you how to use it.

4. You were told not to bring your mobile phone on the school camp. However, you decide to hide your phone in your clothes but someone sees it.

5. You are going on a school trip to the mountains. You don’t have any warm clothes and you are leaving tomorrow. What is the problem here?

6. You are feeling very sad. You haven’t done well in your exams. You miss your parents. You find it hard to get up in the morning. You have never felt like this before.

7. Someone has hacked into your computer account at school. You are angry. You think you know who it is and wonder if you should go and talk to this person.

8. Another student asks you again for some of your lunch. You don’t want to share your food with this person.

Something is not quite right.
