(For beginners-intermediate knowledge) Be a Composer (4th/5th only) - Write your own song. Learn how to put notes, rhythms, and words together. Be Our Guest - Have fun learning basic equee skills like napkin folding, table seng, arranging flowers, hand shaking, and thank you notes. Bells R Ringing - Learn the basics of ringing handbells, simple music notaon, and play a few songs. You only need to be able to count steadily to four for this class. Boomwhackers - Play songs and do acvies with these long, colorful & fun percussion tubes. Boys’ Boot Camp for Jesus (boys only) - Explore Jesus and His Handiwork hands on as you learn some fun sports and fishing techniques. CKV (4th/5th only) - Learn how to make a real music video both in front of and behind the camera. Write, produce, act in, shoot and edit your own music video. Creave Cakes - Learn basic cake decorang techniques to bring joy to others. We’ll have hands on experience with different types of icings to include fondant, piping techniques and decorang your own individual cake. Duct Tape Designs - Create fun and useful items with a scky twist. We will be using colored and paerned Duct Tape to make wallets, bows, bow es, and more! Geocache - A high tech outdoor treasure hunt for all ages! Learn to use a GPS to locate and hide "geocaches" or "caches". Guitar A - Learn the basics of playing the guitar. You will need to provide your own guitar or rent one for the week (we have info. available) Guitar B - For those who know the “basics” and want a lile more! You will need to provide your own guitar or rent one for the week (we have info. available) Harp A (2nd//3rd) - Make a harp and learn the basics of playing harp. Harp B (4th/5th only) - For those who are interested in learning to play the harp and can read sheet music. You will learn the basics of the Harp and a song to perform. The perfect class for those with big imagi- naons, who aren't afraid to have fun and look a lile silly! Music in Moon - Learn fun and excing ways to exercise to high-energy Chrisan music-march, jump, race, punch, pump, and stretch to the beat and improve your health. No Business Like Show Business - Learn the skills needed to be a "triple threat" in Musical Theatre: singing, acng, and choreography. Orff & Drum - Play different kinds of xylophones and drums including congas, ocean drums, djembes, etc. Organ (4th/5th only with 2-3 years private piano lessons) Learn to play on our big organ. Be willing to learn a basic 2- hand piece assigned before coming to Summer Sing. Origami - Learn the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Using an ordinary piece of paper, this class will be making airplanes, birds, flowers, and everything in between! Pampered Hearts for Jesus! (girls only) - Create craſts to pamper your outward beauty while you allow Jesus to beaufy your heart. Plugged In! (Completed 5th graders aended SummerSing at least 2 years) - Experience aspects of the technical minis- try - including sound, lighng, video; must aend Family Night on Thursday night in order to parcipate in this class. Ready,Set,Build! - Drill, Saw and Paint your way to cre- ang theatrical sets and props that will be used to support the SummerSing Family Night Presentaon while reinforc- ing the themed weeks biblical truths. Say Cheese (4 th /5 th only) - Learn the basics of photography and get some hands on experience using the art of pho- tography to deliver a message and bring glory to God. Scrapbooking - Come and learn techniques to scrapbook your pictures with many different kinds of fun tools. Make a memory keeper of your week plus something to give thanks for someone else. Sign Language – Learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, vocabulary related to the SummerSing theme and a song using sign language. Stampin’ & Smiles - Learn how to make cards, candles, notebooks and more using different stamping techniques. From dazzling glier to embossing, you will learn to make a giſt in a jiffy that is sure to bring a smile to any face! STOMP! - Create music with your body and everyday items that become your instruments. Super Scienst - Hands on lab me that teaches our world is wonderfully made and designed by God. He is the ul- mate scienst - all the processes on Earth are His creaon. Violin A - (Completed 4 th /5 th Grade with 0-1 year experi- ence) Learn about the violin and play a simple melody. You will need to provide your own violin or rent one for the week (we have info. available) Violin B - (Completed 5 th grade with 1 year of school class orchestra or private lessons) Work on a duet to play with another violinist. Yarn “Wrapping” - Learn how to use needlepoint with colorful yarn & plasc canvas to create fun & useful craſts. Students will learn basic stches, create a bookmark, coaster, or work on their own unique project.
