Name change to Total Auto & Tire is a reflection of what Zumbrota business offersFormer Zumbrota business OK Tire Store has undergone a
facelift and name change to Total Auto & Tire. Accountantand marketing manager Paul Mecikalski said the name changegives the public a better understanding of what they offer atthe Zumbrota store.
Total Auto & Tire is owned by Bill Suchy. He also has astore in Long Prairie and the name is Total Tire & Auto. TheZumbrota store has 10 employees and they work out of a30,000 square foot building that is just off of highway 52 inZumbrota. They are currently looking for two more employ-ees, a tire tech and general automotive person. Paul's goal isto "grow" the store by five employees and increase business10-15% in 2013.
Total Auto & Tire is housed in a former implement dealer-ship that sat empty until Bill Suchy bought the building andstarted the business seven years ago. Throughout his careerPaul has been employed in accounting in large business, smallbusiness and startup companies. "The big corporation was notfor me," said Paul. "This is a great place to work with peoplewho care about the work they do."
Under the previous name many customers assumed theyonly did tires. Tires are a big part of what they offer, but theyalso have full service auto and truck repair and DOT inspec-tions. They are currently running a couple of April specials. Ifa customer spends over $200 for any repair Total Auto & Tirewill pay the sales tax. The other April special is an oil change, tire balance, tire rotation, alignment check, four wheel brakeinspection and free courtesy inspection, all for $45.95. Theyhave an everyday oil change for $17.88. Firestone is alsooffering a "Hit Paydirt" farm tire rebate where a customer canget up to $800 back on up to eight rear radial tires.
Paul points out the name may havechanged, but the same great service hasnot. He believes the strength of TotalAuto & Tire continues to be customer sat-isfaction and a knowledgeable staff.Because of that they do have many loyalcustomers. Paul believes once a customerpays them a visit they will return.
Farmers make up nearly 70% of thebusiness at Total Auto & Tire. "In thespring and fall we get them what theyneed so they can get back into the field,"said Paul. "We are competitive in priceand don't compromise on our level of ser-vice."
As part of the relaunch Total Auto &Tire will have an open house Friday,April 12 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday,April 13 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. FridayLaser 101 will broadcast live and therewill be a band. Saturday FOX will broad-cast live. Both open houses will offerfood, refreshments and drawings for TotalAuto & Tire gift cards.
The Zumbrota business is new to the Dodge CountyIndependent Business directory. They are located at 44490Hwy. 52 Boulevard in Zumbrota. Give them a call at(507)732-5886.
The former OK Tire Store in Zumbrota has a newname, Total Auto & Tire. As part of the relaunching ofthe business they have also made improvementsinside and will host an open house Friday, April 12and Saturday, April 13. Employees Gordy Voracek,Adam Huneke, Spencer Peterson, Mike Martincekand Paul Mecikalski stand with a sign displaying thenew name for the business.
