Michelango’s sculpture of David

This piece of art shows David more older and masculine. His mood is very heroic, and serious it shows David before the battle with Goliath. I find this sculpture interesting for the detail and it shows him as if you can see him. I do not see this piece of art accurate to the story of David and Goliath because its stature shows him in a more older form. The uniqueness of it is dashing. Michelangelo made this piece of beauty in august 1501. It now stands in the Accademia Gallery in Florence,Italy.

Andrea Del Castagno’s painting This piece of art shows David more younger,

vibrant, and tall for his age. This art and Michelango’s are alike in stature and mood, but this one is more accurate to the story of David and Goliath. This art of Andrea Del Castagno is unique in landscaping and colors. This painting interests me in inspiration and the power of youth because you do not see a lot of children doing something they can not do like killing a giant. It was made in the fifteenth century by Castagno. Today it is displayed in the National Gallery of Art in Washington.
