Overall route performance not as strong as other corridors, but the Metroway and ART 43 are new routes with steadily growing ridership

METROWAY & TRANSITWAY INFRASTRUCTUREWhat is Metroway?• Premium, limited-stop bus service operated by WMATA
• Connects Braddock Metro Station to Potomac Yard and Crystal City
• Began Service - August 2014
• Steady ridership growth (≈ 1,400 daily)
• Currently ends at Crystal City Metro Station
• Metroway will serve Pentagon City Metro
Station beginning in 2016
Transitway Infrastructure• Alexandria segment opened Summer 2014
• Arlington segment under constructon
> Bus-only lanes (24/7) in Potomac Yard
> Peak period curbside bus-only lanes in Crystal City
> Seven new stations
• Evaluating alignment and supporting infrastructure for extension to Pentagon City
