Key ‘How To’ pointsO Must grab the viewer’s attention in
the first frame
O Keep text to a minimum
O Usually text on one slide, image on the next
The EndingO Keep your reader guessing – don’t
reveal how the story ends
O Tell readers where to obtain the book – bookshop, online site, libraries etc
O Finish with the cover of the book and publishing details.

O You must have permission to use images – don’t forget to ask your illustrator’s permission! They will also have access to high resolution images which are the best to use.
O If you intend using any other images, ensure they are downloaded from a copyright free site or purchase your own

obtain access to shared images by using an advanced search.

Giving Your Trailer That Extra ‘Flash’!
O If you know someone who has experience using flash animation, they could apply it to a couple of your illustrations to give your trailer something extra.
O This is a skill, so you will need to budget for an additional cost.

undergo a series of drafts.O Don’t rush it!O Get feedback from ‘critical friends’O Only when you are fully satisfied…..O Consider if you want to allow
