Make sure you have “sketch” clicked, other wise it will not hightlight.I had the same problem until I got it ^^
I was looking at your tutorial on creating a 1/2-13 bolt. I was just wondering in step #7, how you calculated thedimensions of the tooth side profile. I found the tutorial very helpful Thanks. I do look forward in hearing how youcalculated that profile, because I wouldn’t know how to calculate it for a 3/8 bolt, or any other bolt. I appreciate anyhelp on this.Con

I cannot get thread profile to sweep. I’m obviously doing something wrong, but don’t know what. I figure I messed upthe thread profile sketch. Any tips?

For some reason it won’t sweep
I resketched the profile many times; it always gave me an error without explanation.
Can anyone help me?

Hi, i just dont get step #7, or actually i dont understand what u have sketched and how to sketch something like that?
Here’s my new problem: when i set sketch 6 as profile and helix/spiral 1 for the path, then it says “Sweep operationfailed to complete.”
So what to do?

The sweep op didn’t work for me until I extended the sketch into the shaft area. It can be extended in any distance, aslong as it is not flush with the top of the shaft. If you mirror (copy) the sketch it works great. Hope that helps
