-Moves and conditions air through the ductwork. A fan sucks in new and return air and re-circulates it.

-Compressor/Condenser: the exterior unit of the heat pump. A fan pulls air across a line of refrigerant, and this changes the temperature. This adds heat for the winter but is run in reverse in the summer to let out heat.

Advantage: Heat pump systems can change conditions rapidly and also control other climate factors such as humidity

Disadvantage: Heat pumps can be very noisy, and they are also very difficult to zone.

-Veneer: A thin layer, sheet, or facing. -A wood veneer is made from slicing thin slices from a tree.

-Radiant Barrier: A reflective foil placed adjacent to an airspace in roof or wall assemblies as a deterrent to the passage of infrared energy.

-Reduces heating and cooling costs.

Vapor Retarder

-Vapor Retarder: A layer of material intended to obstruct the passage of water vapor through a building assembly.

-Most commonly put on the warm in winter side of a building.

Waterproofing

-Waterproofing: an impervious membrane applied to the outside of a foundation. Used to prevent water from leaking inside of the building.-The waterproofing here is liquid applied.
