6.5 From construction or operational traffic Yes There will be some noise generation due to
movement of dumpers/excavator etc.

operation of machinery will generate
noise. It is an intermittent/slow process.
Closed cabins will be provided in all the
HEMEs with very less noise inside the
cabin.
6.6 From lighting or cooling systems No Not envisaged.
6.7 From any other sources No Not envisaged.
7. Risks of contamination of land or water from releases of pollutants into the ground or into
sewers, surface waters, groundwater, coastal waters or the sea:
S.No Information/Checklist confirmation Yes/No Details thereof (with approximate
quantities/rates, wherever possible)
with source of information data
7.1 From handling, storage, use or
spillage of hazardous materials
No No use/handling of hazardous material
takes place except periodical oil change which will be handled carefully. All the
equipment will be kept well maintained to keep it leakage free.
7.2 From discharge of sewage or other
effluents to water or the land (expected
mode and place of discharge).
Yes The sewage will be treated and disposed
through a series of septic tanks and soak
pits.
The waste water generated from
Workshop will be treated in grease
catcher/ upflow filter and the treated
water will be used for dust suppression..
There will not be any external discharge
of wastewater.
7.3 By deposition of pollutants emitted to air
into the land or into water.
Yes Dust is generated by movement of
machinery & mining operations, blasting,
excavation, loading and unloading. There
is likelihood of increase of PM
concentration (which may affect
surrounding land or water).
Impact referred above is localized,
transitory and intermittent in nature. No
likely impact on surface water is
envisaged.
7.4 From any other sources. No Not envisaged
7.5 Is there a risk of long term build up of
pollutants in the environment from these
sources?
No Not envisaged
8. Risk of accidents during construction or operation of the Project, which
could affect human health or the environment
S.No

8.1 From explosions, spillages, fires etc from
storage, handling, use or production of
hazardous substances
Yes Explosives will be stored in secured
magazine after taking necessary permits
from regulatory authorities.
Fuel oil storage tank will be installed near
the Mines workshop for operation of
HEME. Care shall be taken to prevent
spillage of oil.
8.2 From any other causes No Not envisaged
8.3 Could the project be affected by natural
disasters causing environmental damage
(e.g. floods, earthquakes, landslides,
cloudburst etc)?
No -
9. Factors which should be considered (such as consequential development) which could lead
to environmental effects or the potential for cumulative impacts with other existing or
planned activities in the locality.
S.No Information/Checklist confirmation Yes/No Details thereof (with approximate

9.1 Lead to development of supporting
facilities, ancillary development or
development stimulated by the project
which could have impact on the
environment e.g.:
• Supporting infrastructure (roads,
power supply, waste or waste water
treatment, etc.)
• Housing development
• Extractive industries
• Supply industries
• Other
Yes The establishment of Mines, Cement
plant, township and related
infrastructure facilities would lead to
socio-economic development of the area.
Educational and medical facilities shall be
set up and infrastructure facilities shall
be improved.
Direct & indirect employment
opportunities shall improve the living
standards of the local population.
9.2 Lead to after-use of the site, which could
have an impact on the environment
Yes The mining lease area comprises of
private and Govt. revenue land. The area
will benefit from the development
activities associated with the project. The
cessation of mining shall leave pits which
shall be backfilled to the extent possible.
The balance pits will be converted to
reservoirs.
9.3 Set a precedent for later developments Yes A better after use scenario, which is likely
to increase aesthetic beauty of the area in
addition to increased greenery and water
reservoir supporting the surrounding
localities.
9.4 Have cumulative effects due to proximity
to other existing or planned projects with
similar effects
No No cumulative effect is envisaged.
Impact of the project will be limited to M.L
area.
