From the time the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary opened their first hospital in Southern California in 1960 until today, the community has stood by their side. The vision of the Little Company of Mary Sisters and the Sisters of Providence to provide high-quality and compassionate care to all, especially the poor and vulnerable, continues to inspire community friends and volunteers to share their gifts of time and treasure. This tradition of philanthropy in support of health care has never been more important. The strength of the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers in San Pedro and Torrance is magnified by the generosity of our benefactors. Important gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations help to ensure the finest facilities, advanced technology and excellent care - in addition to the many charitable care and outreach programs that are the cornerstone of the Sisters' mission.
