Leif’s Corner Last week I attended the first convocation of the Creating a Culture of Calling Initiative, along with Jennifer Wins-low and Mayra Torres. It was outstanding! Some prelim-inary strategies that we are considering include: 1) des-ignating the annual parish theme on “Calling”, 2) doing a series of GIFT Sundays on “Calling”, 3) using C3 grant money to make GIFT fully multi-cultural, 4) utilizing “Calling” curriculum materials for children, youth, and adults, 5) inviting small faith groups to read and study the book The Stories We Live: Finding God’s Calling All around Us by Kathleen Cahalan.

YOUTH MINISTRIES!
MINISTERIO JUVENIL!
All too often, all of us fall into the mode that the present is just preparation for the
beginning of “real life” to start. In what ways are you communicating, to the young people that surround you, that their life is important now IN the present moment FOR the present moment?
