Introduction

What is a PoE Repeater?A PoE PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) sends power and data to a PoE (Powered Device). This is great for flexible placement but it is limited to only 100 meters in length.  Frequently PoE PDs need to be connected at distances greater than 100 meters, which is why a LevelOne PoE Repeater lets you overcome this situation. 

How it works?POE forwarding

A PoE Repeater draws its power from the network cable using Power over Ethernet and requires no local power supply.  It can also forward PoE on to other connecteddevices that require distance deployment such as IP Cameras and wireless outdoor APs.  

1-Port PoE Repeater Daisy-Chaining

It’s possible to connect two or more LevelOne POE Repeater in a chain, withup to 100 meters of cable between each POE Repeater or device. Links maybe extended up to over 700meters in this way, depending on the power requirements of the connected POE device, and other factors.
