Since 1988 Romageco (Kenya) Limited has progressively expanded the automotive suspension and 4X4 market through conquest sales, and aggressive marketing to reach its present size and currently employs 120 staff with an annual turnover of upto USD 5M. We encom-pass the ethos of “BUY KENYAN BUILD KENYA”.

We are original equipment (OE) suppliers to the motor vehicle assembly plants in Kenya for Isuzu East Africa and Hino for our Rob's Magic heavy duty shock absorbers as fitted to their buses and trucks. Our shock absorbers are designed specifically for Africa's tough terrain, and supported by very solid warranties.

With the 'winds of change' in Kenya and the steady improvement of governance within the East Africa region, we are optimistic and continue to invest further.

In 1998, we launched our first 'Fitment Centre - Rob's Magic Autocare Centre Nairobi, so that our specialised products could be fitted with our particular expertise and professionalism. In 2001, we opened a similar centre in Mombasa. Our success can be attributed to quality products and that "SPECIAL" service in addition to our goal of being SAFETY DRIVEN ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

In 2009 we opened one of the largest suspension and 4X4 centres in Africa. This state of the art facility is a sight to behold. 28,000 sq .ft, epoxy floored workshop catering for upto 70 vehicles per day and a splendid 4X4 show room add to the aura of walking into this magnificent facility on 19 Commercial Street, off Bunyala Road in Nairobi.

In January 2019 we officially opened our new CKD Assembly plant along with an additional specialized fabrication facility with a total area of 30,000 sq. ft in Mlolongo situated on the outskirts of Nairobi.The facilities at our Mlolongo fabrication plant include:

Fitting a TJM Airtec Snorkel means the air supply is drawn from roof level providing cooler and cleaner air to the engine.Because the air supply is drawn from roof level, dust is not as thick and plentiful as in the engine bay or inner guard. DUAL BATTERY MONITORING SYSTEM

T-Max winches have been thoroughly tested in Africa and Australia for the 4X4’s, car carriers, trucks and farmers for over 19 years. With a pulling capacity of 9000LBS - 18500LBS 12v OR 24v.

T-MAX DUAL BATTERY SYSTEM

A complete split charge system with LED battery monitor, designed for a dual battery systems.

The monitor displays the voltage of both batteries and the charge voltage whilst charging them with an alternator, solar panel or any other 12v Charge source.

The batteries are automatically linked through a 250A continuous-ly rated solenoid when a charging voltage of over 13.3v is detect-ed. The batteries are automatically isolated when discharging. In emergency situations a manual override function to link the batteries can be actuated. This is useful for extra power when starting the vehicle if power is low in the main start battery or winching applications when a longer period of constant power is needed.

We have branched out into fleet management and fleet service contracts. Presently we manage a fleet of 40 vehicles in Turkana for Lake Turkana Wind Power. Cutting fleet costs and managing fleets in daunting conditions has proved challenging but nontheless successful.

We have implemented tracking systems, driver management and training protocols, strict vehicle service schedules and general overall fleet management under the guidance of our experienced management staff and skilled Toyota trained mechanics. We also have service contracts to the likes of RENTWORKS, KIPETO ENERGY, VESTUS and are in discussions with NCBA BANK KENYA presently for the same for service and vehicle maintenance at our facility in Nairobi.

BESPOKE FABRICATION

Romageco (K) Limited is a highly respected company in Africa with a vast portfolio of supplier, autocare and manufacturing abilities. We have expanded our fabrication and manufacturing for specialised steel/aluminium products to a 30,000sq ft facility in Mlolongo . Our expansion has included at great expense the state of the art, CAD/CAM plasma cutters for very accurate steel/aluminium plate cutting. Our investment encompasses the very best computer controlled tube bending and profile cutting equipment from America, including a powder coating oven for a very tough finish to our final products to further add to a quality appearance. We adhere to Kaizen working practices. We employ a skilled labour force of 40 highly qualified engineers in welding, fabrication and computer design. As such Romageco (K) Ltd is very qualified to manufacture and fabricate high quality products which are superbly finished with oven baked powder coatings. Our CKD TJM bull bars are equally famous and produced here in our factory and exported to 12 different countries including Dubai and Europe and we take advantage of the COMESA trade agreements for exports into Africa.

ROLL OVER PROTECTION STRUCTURES

After manufacturing roll cages for 25 years for motorsport , in 2008 Romageco found a gap in the market to supply and manufacture Roll Over Protection Structures to the East African market for the Oil, Gas and Petroleum (OGP) plus Mining companies. All our ROPS are manufactured in Kenya and carry a safety certificate and registration.

The ROPS manufactured by ROMAGECO Kenya Ltd. are designed to augment the existing cabin strength and to reduce the cabin crush and therefore reduce the potential for injuries in a rollover. These are made to OGP and Mining standards and we use flame retardant foam padding.

Due to the sensitivity of the standards and practices within the OGP, Exploration and Mining industries, we understood that the final product has to be manufactured with precision: safety being the priority. The Mining and OGP Industries have very different specifications and follow clearly defined protocol differentiations. Romageco Kenya Ltd. is experienced in both protocols.
