Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am very glad to have “The 11th Congress of Asia-Pacific Knee Society”, which will be held at Hotel Tentrem,Yogyakarta , Indonesia, on August 21 to 25, 2019. At this time it will be combined with 6th Indonesian Hip and Knee Society Meeting and Asia Pacific Infection Society (APIS) meeting.
APKS has been evolved since 1st meeting was organized by a great knee surgeon, Professor Koshino 20 years ago and many other leading knee surgeons from Asia Pacific region devoted themselves to develop APKS further in terms of scientific aspect as well as social aspect. Last year 10th congress was successfully held at Gwangju Korea with several hundreds attendees and excellent scientific program with various knee topics related to sports medicine, arthroscopy, joint replacement and its alternatives, articular cartilage restoration. In addition interesting social program pleased the attendee and provided a good atmosphere to make and deepen friendship each other. APKS has a very important role to improve and renew the knowledge of knee surgery and to enhance friendship of knee surgeon in Asia Pacific region.
I am confident that 11th congress would offer the perfect platform for knee surgeons to exchange professional scientific knowledge and valuable clinical experiences of every field of knee diseases with wide discussion, so that this congress will be an excellent opportunity for the members of APKS to interact with other orthopedic surgeons from many part of the world.
Last but not least I would like express my great thanks to Dr .Nicolaas Budhiparama who is a 11th congress chairman of APKS as well as a president elect of APKS for his tremendous effort and energy for preparing 11th congress.
