The Path Ahead

Page 49: College of Architecture Space Needs

Our Current Reality

Page 50: College of Architecture Space Needs

Our Aspirational Goals

Page 51: College of Architecture Space Needs

But more seriously, the College of Architecture has the capacity to develop creative solutions to our space needs.

For example…

Page 52: College of Architecture Space Needs
Page 53: College of Architecture Space Needs

Or, here is another example…

Page 54: College of Architecture Space Needs
Page 55: College of Architecture Space Needs

And, for future buildings that may result from fund raising efforts, we need a bold change of paradigms…

Conclusion

Page 58: College of Architecture Space Needs

• In general, the College of Architecture concurs with the SNAPS Report. As the report indicates, there is definitely a current need for additional space (96,159 sq. ft.).

• However, to meet the projected growth through 2015, the College of Architecture will need additional space (11,987 sq. ft. more, for a total of 108,146 sq. ft.).

• Furthermore, the quality of certain spaces will need to be improved in order for the College of Architecture to meet its goals regarding learning/teaching and research/creative work activities, at the high levels of excellence demanded by Vision 2020.
