CREATING A CLIMATE WHERE CHANGE IS
POSSIBLE!
A Common Framework
Benchmarks for a School’s Common Framework
To effectively allow for unbiased reflection on education, a common framework needs to: Describe teaching and learning in nonjudgmental ways. No
one should feel labeled. Be strengths-based, emphasizing how each person teaches
and learns rather than suggesting limits on what they can do.
Describe which learning styles a practice will reach. Apply across cultures and to both adults and students. Provide bridges among varying staff development efforts.
