What is ?The Future Network is a new community for thought leaders braveenough to imagine - and create - new business models, new solutionsand new networks to serve tomorrow’s mobile market. Hostedunder the Chatham House Rule to encourage openness and disclosure,The Future Network cuts through the hyperbole to identify whatinnovations can and are being rolled out, what the commercial andregulatory inhibitors are, who is best placed to break through thoseinhibitors, with a view to devising a common roadmap to realise theDigital Economy.
Brought to you by the team behind TowerXchange, a renowned community host and research resource used by 35,000 telecoms infrastructure decision makers, The Future Network is an online community, publication, and F2F networking platform for executives from mobile network operators, towercos, private network operators, macro and micro antenna developers, OEMs, neutral hosts, service providers, fibre and backhaul companies.
One of the current preoccupations of the market is the deployment of a heterogeneous network (HetNet) layer to infill and offload crowded macro networks. This HetNet is being deployed by a combination of mobile network operators, towercos and other neutral hosts.
The Future Network tracks case studies of trials and deployments around the world and engages with the project managers driving the deployment of small cells, active DAS, smart antennas and other infill and offload technologies. It engages fibre companies, OEMs and supportive sectors to promote investment in and development of this burgeoning market.
Our quarterly publication will showcase the emerging future networksaround the world, and our regional Meetups will unite the leaders ofthese projects to share knowledge and expertise to drive the commercialdevelopment of the sector by uniting key solution providers under oneroof to do business and promote the future of the cellular network

New to The Future Network community? Then let us explain the unique format of our Meetups
What is a Meetup?
At The Future Network we don’t like to use the wordconference. Our focus is more on networking anddirect knowledge sharing. Quite simply, a Meetupis when we make the telecom infrastructurecommunity that engages online year round, come to life. We invite our executives to join in amixed format of panel discussions, round tablediscussions, and technology working groups toshowcase the leading infrastructure projectsand solutions around the world.
Panel discussionsWe don’t do powerpoint. We hold a small number
of panel discussions which are used to set the scene in which we invite MNO VIPs and other senior network deployers to share their priorities in optimising their assets and examining technological developments, rollouts and densification plans that are creating demand and deal flow for the supply chain.
Roundtable discussionsThe primary feature of a Meetup is the focus on small roundtable discussions which connect you directly with peers, key decision makers and leading experts. The Future Network’s roundtable
discussions are led by an expert moderator, but everyone’s opinions and questions are welcomed. Each roundtable focuses on a specific country, financial, operational or technological issue. With the ability to attend four different roundtable discussions at each Meetup, participants can tailor their agenda to their exact needs.
Working GroupsRoundtables are complemented by invitation-only working groups, which bring together a board of MNO and network deployment experts with responsibility for trialling, procuring and implementing next generation cellular networks. The working groups are designed to identify current challenges and discuss solutions openly, and a select number of key solution providers are invited, by invitation only, to participate in the discussion and present their solutions directly to the buyers and decision makers. The advantages of this face to face presentation are obvious, but they are also great sessions to be a fly on the wall in too - you’ll hear candid feedback from the top of the supply chain and you can tailor your offering in line with their comments and increase your business development efficiency.
ExhibitionEach Meetup also boasts an exhibition of themost important suppliers and service providerssupporting the industry, and with participationfrom vendor companies strictly limited, there are atleast as many buyers as sellers on site. If your roleencompasses telecoms infrastructure - this isone event you can’t afford to miss
< Specific focus on next-generation cellular network deployment
< Case studies and trials of distributed network technology
< Direct contact with decision makers and experts
< Screened ratio of buyers to sellers
< Co-located exhibition Expert panel debates
Intimate roundtable discussions

Technology working groups
Designed to enable peer-led evaluation of technologies by network deployers themselves. Seats at the central table are strictly reserved for executives from MNOs, towercos and leading network deployers, or invited event sponsors and exhibitors.
Our priority for these sessions is to elicit the requirements and experiences of those at the bleeding edge of network densification and deployment and to learn from their challenges and successes. If you are an MNO, towerco or network host in attendance we invite you to take part in these highly constructive debates as we map out product and logistical limitations, requirements and trials, and act as a focused industry task force. Similarly, if you are in the process of evaluating
different suppliers prior to making a procurement decision, the working groups will equip you with vital information and key questions to ask when assessing different vendors.
After information gathering from the experts, we invite selected vendors to enter the discussion, succinctly sharing their perspectives and tailored solutions / product developments to address some of the issues raised.
All vendors will be notified prior to the event as to their eligibility to join this session. If you have not been notified, you will be unable to actively participate in the discussion but we invite you to take a seat around the edge of the room to listen to the session.
