1 JSCB Phase II – CM RFP Addendum #1 - Questions and Responses From December 14, 2015 – Pre-Submittal Briefing Meeting: 1. Question: The residence requirements are tied to zip codes. What zip codes qualify? Answer: Firms will need to certify that employees are City residents for residency goals. There are zip codes that are solely within City limits and zip codes that are partially within City limits 2. Question: On the construction schedule, are there start dates and completion dates? Will all the construction projects run concurrently? Answer: Target dates for projects are in the Comprehensive Plan. It is anticipated that several projects in Phase II Tranche #1 will run concurrently. From December 15, 2015 - Fowler High School Site visit. 3. Question: Are there hazardous material in the soils at Fowler? Has it been tested? Answer: Yes, for JSCB Phase I there was a NYSDEC approved soils management plan. The selected CM will be given this plan and available testing information from the District. Additional testing and investigations may be required for the project. Typically, these costs are treated as a reimbursable expense by the A/E firms. 4. Question: Is there HVAC work in the Pool Locker Rooms? Answer: Determining the scope of work at each building will be part of the A/E firm’s responsibilities during the Design Phases. 5. Question: Is there HVAC work in the Lower Level Team Locker Rooms? Answer: See response to Question No. 4. 6. Question: Will there be acoustical work in the Auditorium? If so, will it be directed by the PM? Answer: See response to Question No. 4. 7. Question: Does the auditorium ceiling contain asbestos? Answer: The selected CM will be given available testing information from the District. Additional testing and investigations will be required for the project. Typically, these costs are treated as a reimbursable expense by the A/E firms. 8. Question: Who is responsible for asbestos testing? Answer: The district has some testing reports. Any additional testing will be done by the A/E firms.
