What exactly is cloning?

Cloning is the creation of an

organism that is an exact genetic copy of another.

This means that every single bit of DNA is the same between the two!

campbell in ScotlandWas the first mammal to be cloned

Died from a progressive lung disease.

The cloned mammals was a mouse

(named "Masha") , in the Soviet Union.

History of Cloning:

South Korean scientists create several cloned human embryos which they only allowed to develop for a short while – just long enough to extract embryonic stem cells which could be used in the treatment of disease.

This was the world's first ever cloned human embryo in 2004.
