Zero Waste Scotland Plastics Capital Grant Programme
• Zero Waste Scotland is launching a £5 million capital grant programme on behalf of theScottish Government to develop plastics reprocessing infrastructure in Scotland.
• The programme can provide financial assistance towards facilities capable of sorting, recyclingand reprocessing a range of plastic waste, thereby diverting a minimum of 20,000additional tonnes from landfill per annum.

Construction Waste Recycling and Infrastructure Programme
• The Construction Waste Recycling and Infrastructure Programme is provided by the Wasteand Resources Action Programme (WRAP) to stimulate investment in additional
processing capacity for facilities that process and recycle construction, demolition andexcavation waste from construction sites into reusable materials for re-processors.
• Grant Type: Installation Projects• Amount: £180,000• Geographic Focus: UK, Scotland• Deadline: 31st March 2011
• Local authorities across Scotland can receive grants to help them fit equipment to theirvehicle fleets that reduces harmful emissions. It is hoped the funding will enable local
authorities to improve air quality as part of their statutory local air quality managementresponsibilities.

• Xcel Energy's Solar*Rewards Program provides an incentive for residential andcommercial customers that install grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems of at least 0.5
kilowatts (kW) and less than 40 kW.
• The incentive takes the form of an up-front rebate of $2.25 per watt DC.

• GC is looking for innovative solutions and products to enhance the performance of its LED-basedproduct line and extend its functional application to a wider range of fittings.
• Win $10,000 cash award for submitting solutions that will allow GC to meet the requiredillumination coefficients and to expand its Green Lighting fittings to motorways, urbanareas, sports installations and other public areas.
• The CleanTech Challenge is a student competition jointly hosted by London Business School and University College London where students from top European business and engineering schools compete in cross-functional teams. The challenge is to develop innovative clean technology
ideas from the concept phase to a stage in which they would attract Series A funding or otherwisebe self-sustainable.
