Claudius Peters reputation in cement technology comes frommany years of technical experience combined withcontinuous product development in our Technical Center(Technikum). Several products developed by Claudius Peterssuch as the hydraulic drive for clinker coolers, roller crushersfor clinker coolers, expansion chambers for silos and reducedpower consumption pneumatic conveying systems(FLUIDCON) are just a few of the products that have becomestandard in the cement industry.

The Claudius Peters Technikum focuses on basic researchand information transfer between international plant operatorsand ourselves. Located only a few steps away from ouradministration, design and production facilities, theTechnikum houses laboratories and test installations in whichthe characteristics of more than 13,000 materials have beenanalyzed in different procedures. Information from this datapool provides the basis for the various design parameters ofClaudius Peters equipment processes and developments,helping us and our clients to find optimum operatingparameters for their requirements.

Actingas your one-stop supplier, Claudius Peters can provide youwith everything for stockyards and blending beds, and mixingsilos for raw meal.

The optimized design and homogenizing in the blending bedwill reduce the required degree of blending orhomogenization in the mixing silo, reducing operating andenergy costs to a minimum whilst maintaining reasonableinvestment costs.

Claudius Peters stockyards are available for limestone, marl,mix-additives for raw meal and cement and for primary andsecondary solid fuels such as hard coal and wood chips.

Used in the homogenization of raw meal, Claudius Petersmixing silos (MC-Silos) are characterized by a high blendingfactor achieved by a unique mixing chamber with overflowpipe. The silos’ capacities can be optimized in combinationwith the stockyard equipment from a capacity of 2,500 tonnesto 60,000 tonnes.

In addition to the new Claudius Peters MC-Silos, oldersystems with a flat bottom design can be modified andoptimized with our unique expansion chamber to achieve acontinuous mixing operation. Additionally, higher dischargerates will be achieved and energy consumption will bereduced.

All of our raw meal mixing silos can be combined withClaudius Peters kiln feeding to ensure homogeneous feedingof the kiln pre-heater. During the continuous, pulsation-freepre-heater feeding by airlift or bucket elevator or directly fromthe control bin, the raw meal metering device is calibrated on-line and the requirements of the kiln are met withoutinterruption to kiln feeding.

The Claudius Peters clinker cooler can be combined with anykiln system on the market. The cooler’s reliable operation caneasily be adapted to the kiln line's requirements. This not onlyapplies to new cooler installations, but also to conversionsand capacity increases of existing kiln cooler systems. Ourclinker coolers do the job they are designed for!

Traditionally, the main function of the clinker cooler was tocool down the clinker from ~1400°C to ~100°C. For sometime now the focus has been on reducing the kiln heatconsumption or, recuperating as much heat as possible toreduce fuel costs..

With rising awareness of the environment and CO2 emissions,utilizing the remaining heat and optimizing the use ofalternative fuels is of increased importance.

Claudius Peters is the perfect partner for cement plantoperators requiring solid fuel handling with stockyardequipment, mechanical transport to the grinding plant,grinding of fuels (e.g. hard coal, pet coal, sewage sludge,etc), storage, pneumatic conveying, dosing of the fines andto the burners of the combustion process.

The Claudius Peters EM Mill has been installed in more than500 coal grinding mills. Its grinding elements are balls thatcan move freely between the grinding rings and remain roundthroughout their whole service life, guaranteeing constantthroughput capacities and fineness for up to 20,000 hours.

Claudius Peters has the expertise to install grinders indifferent process conditions within a pressure shock-resistantdesign or an inert process operation. By using the most cost-efficient energy sources (cooler exhaust gas, pre-heater gasor hot gas generator) for drying the fuel, we can ensure theclient’s process is fully optimized.

The Claudius Peters standard silo design is based on theexpansion chamber principle, giving the operator theadvantages of high storage utilization, constant dischargeconditions and a thorough emptying rate. These silos can bedesigned in different ways with multiple chambers, variousdischarge possibilities, truck loading equipment, mixingsystems or other features underneath the silo.

Claudius Peters also has different designs available forspecial materials or smaller storage capacities and has a longtradition of modifying old silos to improve the discharge andenergy consumption of existing operations.

Cement trading is becomingincreasingly important in theworld and cement has to becarried more and moreinto emerging markets orconurbations. For theserequirements Claudius Peters can offerthe full package for dispatch terminalsincluding storage silos, truck, wagon or stationaryship loading. We can also offer solutions for thereceiving terminal with truck or wagon unloading and thenecessary cement distribution equipment like silos, truckloading, packing and palletizing equipment.

For cement transport across water, Claudius Peters candesign equipment for self-unloading carriers with panelaeration and special pneumatic discharge equipment suchas the X-Pump or HP-CONTANK.

The advantage of this all-in-one concept is that all of theequipment integrates, enabling reductions in powerconsumption to be easily achieved.
