ADDENDUM #2 SUISUN MARINA DREDGING AND PIERCE ISLAND LEVEE REHABILITATION PROJECT

The Contract Documents for the SUISUN MARINA DREDGING AND PIERCE ISLAND LEVEE REHABILITATION PROJECT are hereby modified as follows: SECTION 01350 – HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS • Paragraph 1.03 “SUBMITTALS”, replace first line with:

Submit the following for the pre-dredge, progress, and post-dredge surveys:

• Paragraph 3.01 “HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS”, add subparagraphs F, G, and H as follows:

F. Contractor shall conduct mechanical survey at locations that are not accessible for the electronic device (such as for berthing and boat occupied areas). Point elevation surveys using leadline or other methods shall be provided for a minimum of five (5) points within each berthing area, three (3) at the head of the slip (from the main walkway) and two (2) on the middle of the slip (from the edge of adjacent finger floats).

G. Contractor shall conduct the pre- and post-dredge surveys along the same sounding

lines and at same leadline locations for consistency. See paragraph 4.01 C in Section 10.4 Dredging and Disposal for volume computation methods.

H. Sounding lines in Fingers 1-8 may be parallel to the centerline due to space constraints.

SECTION 02250 – DREDGING AND DISPOSAL • Paragraph 4.01 “MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT”, revise subparagraphs F as follows:

F. Progress payment invoices for dredging work performed, where post-dredge survey has not yet been performed, shall not be invoiced for more than 75% 90% of the total volume available (excluding non-pay overdepth) as estimated from a pre-dredge survey for the dredging area.

• Paragraph 4.01 “MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT”, add subparagraph G, H, I:

G. Progress payments will be based on a combination of daily report information and quantities determined by progress surveys taken by the Contractor. Copies of field notes, field computations, and other records taken in the field by the Contractor for the purpose of layout and progress shall be furnished to the Engineer to the extent necessary in determining the proper amount of progress payment due to the Contractor.

H. If the progress survey and quantities indicate that the dredged area has not reached the

required lines and grades or has not been dredged in accordance with these specifications, the Contractor shall resume dredging to complete the work to project depth.

I. If sloughing or shoaling is identified by a progress survey in a previously approved

Acceptance Section, the District may direct the Contractor to return to dredge to the required lines and grades at the same contract unit prices for the work in that area.

BID PLANS • Sheet C12 – Weir and Pipe Notes:

o Remove Sentence: Construct and provide new decant weir with timber flashboards and discharge pipe at East Pond for discharge of effluent into Suisun Slough.

• The following sheet has been added to the Plans:
