Christmas be a star

"Where is the one who has been born king of the? We saw his star in

the east and have come to worship him.

Matthew 2:2

CHRISTmas is coming…be HIS Star.

Points someone to Jesus…to worship him.

Those who are wise (or who impart wisdom) will shine like the brightness of the

heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, will shine like the stars

for ever and ever.

Daniel 12:3

Purpose of Christmas Decors(trimmings, lights, trees, lanterns, manger…etc)

• They are symbols, signs or allegories• To attract someone• To meditate on their purpose• To ultimately understand their meaning• And lead someone to act of their value of

meaning…

John 1:6 - 8

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

Christmas is coming!

• Christmas is coming! God used John the Baptizer. God sent angels. God wants to use you and me to point to Jesus the true light, the reason for Christmas.

• Angels were sent from God to shepherds. They were told: “Go to Bethlehem …In the town of David a Savior has been born.”

• God placed a star in the heavens. The Wise men followed the light of the star to the child, whom Mary and Joseph were told “you shall give him the name Jesus because he will save God’s people from their sins.”

• God sent a man, his name was William Wilberforce. He was sent to England and slavery came to an end.

• God sent a man Martin Luther and message of God’s grace was restored to Christianity

Christmas is coming!
