China's logistics industry prosperity index rose to 53.6% in April

In April, China's logistics industry prosperity index was 53.6%, up 2.1% from last

month. From the perspective of single index, except for service price index, other single

indexes have maintained a recovery trend.

China accounted for 61% of global newbuilding orders in the first four months

of this year

According to data released by Clarkson, in the first four months of this year, China

has been the main force in the global new shipbuilding industry, accounting for 61% of

global new shipbuilding orders, and South Korea ranked second with 17% share.

MOT: the investment in fixed assets of transportation is RMB 3.2 trillion in

2019

According to the Development Statistics of the Transportation Industry in 2019 issued

by Ministry of Transport on May 12, the investment in fixed assets of transportation in 2019

was around RMB 3.2 trillion, an increase of 3.1% over the previous year.

China's gross maritime production doubled in the past decade

According to reports, under the accelerating construction of maritime power strategy,

China's gross maritime production in 2019 exceeded RMB 8.9 trillion, and doubled in ten

years, and the proportion of gross maritime product to national GDP remains at about 9%

for nearly 20 years.

26 financial measures to support the construction of Guangdong-Hong

Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Recently, the People's Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China

Securities Regulatory Commission and Foreign Exchange Bureau jointly issued the

Opinions on Financial Support for the Construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao

Great Bay Area (GBA), proposing 26 specific measures in five aspects.

IMO informs industry of China’s measures on extension of relevant certificates

International Maritime Organization (IMO) has issued the Circular Letter

No.4221/Add.2 recently. It has communicated to its member states, associate members,

inter-governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations about measures

on relevant certificates extension of international sea-going ships and crew members taken

by China Maritime Safety Administration during the period of the prevention and control

of COVID-19.

Wuhan-Japan direct shipping route recovered on May 5

The first international shipping route in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze

River, Wuhan-Japan Container direct shipping route, was officially opened on May 9.

The world's "most expensive" tanker sails from the United States to China

With oil prices and global oil demand plummeting, “Alaskan Navigator", the world's

"most expensive" tanker is leaving for China loaded with crude oil.

"Southeast Asia-Qingdao" cold chain express realizes first voyage

On May 3, the maiden voyage ceremony of Southeast Asia-Qingdao express was held

in Qingdao Port, Shandong Province. The Cold Chain Express, which is the first direct route

from Qingdao to Malaysia, is connected to the main ports in Southeast Asia such as Ho

Chi Minh, Manila and Bintulu.

China's first Antarctic krill fishing boat sails to Antarctica

On May 14, the first professional Antarctic krill fishing and processing ship "SHEN LAN"

invested and built by Jiangsu Sunline Fisheries Co., Ltd. sailed from Lianyungang to

Antarctica.

117 super VLCCs are heading for China

Recently, a huge fleet of 117 VLCCs shipping ultra-low price crude oil is heading for

China. Calculated by 2 million barrels of crude oil per vessel, it means that at least 230

million barrels oil will arrive at Chinese ports in the next three months.

Shipbuilding

The world's first largest LNG bunkering vessel delivered

On April 30, the world's largest and most advanced 18,600m3 LNG bunkering vessel

built by CSSC Hudong-Zhonghua shipbuilding was successfully delivered.

CDB Leasing signs contracts for purchase of eight 210,000 DWT bulk carriers

China Development Bank Financial Leasing (CDB) has signed contracts with three

shipbuilders for purchase of eight 210,000 DWT bulk carriers. The three shipbuilders include

Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou)

and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.Ltd.

82,000 DWT bulk carrier series built by Nanjing Jinling Shipyard delivered

Recently, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. completed the signing

and delivery procedures of the seventh 82,000 DWT bulk carrier (Tongxiang) with

Singapore Tongshun Company in the form of "cloud delivery" via video link and document

post. The ship is built according to CCS classification standard.

First 120,000 DWT giant built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong shipbuilding

completes sea trial

On May 6, the first 120,000 DWT bulk carrier H5617 built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong

shipbuilding successfully completed the sea trial in 7 days and berthed at the wharf of

Longxue shipyard.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding secures 6 orders for bulk carriers

A few days ago, Ahrenkiel Vogemann Bolten (AVB) has ordered six open deck bulk

carriers with a capacity of 40,000 DWT to YangziJiang Shipbuilding Group. According to

the latest report of Allied Shipbroking, the order price of each ship is $24 million, which is

expected to be delivered in 2022.

Jiangnan Shipyard-built 84,000m3 LPG completes sea trial

Recently, CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard Co.,Ltd completed the sea trial of a 84,000m3 LPG

the first vessel of its kind for Fuzhong Shipping. This ship is the second generation of large-

scale liquefied gas transport ship independently designed by Jiangnan Shipyard Co., Ltd.,

which meets the latest emission standards of IMO.

The first 10,000 DWT all electric propulsion deck transport ship sets sail

On May 7, the first 10,000 DWT all electric propulsion deck transportation ship

"boldwind", built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard for German shipowners completed and

successfully set sail.

The world's largest pile driver built by China Merchants Industry Holdings

delivered

On the morning of May 8, the delivery ceremony of the 130m pile driver "San Hang

Zhuang" built by China Merchants Industry Holding(Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. for the Third

Navigation Bureau of China Communication Construction (CCCC), was held at the base of

Mazhou Island, Shenzhen, marking the official birth of the world's largest pile driver.

Construction starts for 113,000 DWT oil tanker built by COSCO Shipping

Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)

On May 8, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd. successfully held the

commencement ceremony of the 113,000 DWT N756 oil tanker built for UNION MARITIME

in No.1 hull workshop.

300,000 DWT super large crude oil tanker built by Dalian Shipbuilding

Industry delivered

On May 8, the 300,000 DWT super large crude oil ship "CSSC LIAO NING" built by

Dalian Shipbuilding Industry for the leasing company affiliated to China Shipbuilding

Trading Co.Ltd, named and delivered.

COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) completes one ship delivery

and two ship launching on the same day

On May 9, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. successfully signed

and delivered the second 208,000 DWT bulk carrier "HAGEN OLDENDORFF" for China

Development Bank Leasing, and successfully launched two 81,200 DWT bulk carriers for

ICBC Leasing and Shandong Shipping Corporation.

81,600 DWT bulk carrier built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)

delivered

On May 11, the 81,600 DWT bulk carrier "GREEN K-MAX 5" built by COSCO Shipping

Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) for AVIC International Leasing Co., Ltd. and Aegean Shipping

Co., Ltd successfully delivered, 50 days in advance.

Construction starts on 210,000 DWT bulk carrier H1519 built by Waigaoqiao

Shipbuilding for ICBC Leasing

On May 11, the construction of the 210,000 DWT bulk carrier H1519 built by Shanghai

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for ICBC Leasing and delivery to CITIC metal successfully

started.

Construction starts on the first ship of the 114,000 DWT Aframax series

On May 12, the construction started on the 114,000 DWT Aframax crude oil tanker

H1435 built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for PTM (Pantheon tankers

Management).

The sixth 15,500 DWT ro-ro cargo ship built by Nanjing Jinling shipyard

undocked

On May 12, the sixth 15,500 DWT ro-ro cargo ship built by Nanjing Jinling Shipyard Co.,

Ltd. of China Merchants Group for DFDS in Denmark successfully undocked.

6,500 DWT multi-purpose ship built by Dayang Offshore Equipment launched

On May 12, the 6,500 DWT multi-purpose ship built by Jiangsu Dayang Offshore

Equipment Co.Ltd., of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited for

Korean customers was launched successfully.

The 82,000 DWT bulk carrier built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard delivered

On the morning of May 13, the 82,000 DWT bulk carrier No. 41, built by CSSC Chengxi

Shipyard Co., Ltd. for Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings Limited delivered

successfully.

A 13,800 DWT product oil tanker built by Haitong Offshore Engineering

Equipment delivered

On May 15, a 13,800 DWT oil product ship, “SHEN YOU 238”, built by Jiangsu Haitong

Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd., and classed by CCS was successfully delivered.

210,000 DWT bulk carrier built by Bohai shipbuilding industry named

On May 15, CSIC Bohai Heavy Industry held a naming ceremony for the 210,000 DWT

bulk carrier "Berge moldoveanu" built for Sigapore Berge Shipping Company.

Construction starts for China's first autonomous container ship

On the morning of May 15, the commencement ceremony of “ZHI FEI”, China's first

self-propelled container ship, was held in Qingdao Shipyard.

81,600 DWT bulk carrier built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)

completes trial voyage

On the afternoon of May 16, the 81,600 DWT bulk carrier “N150”, built by COSCO

Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) for Aegean shipping in Greece and AVIC International

Leasing successfully completed the trial voyage.

VLCC orders held in DSIC have broken one hundred

On May 18, two 307,000 DWT Crude Oil Tankers construction contracts were signed

in Beijing, Hong Kong and Dalian in the form of “cloud signing” between CSSC Dalian

Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC), China Shipbuilding Trade Co. Ltd, and China

Merchants Energy Shipping.

Construction starts for 114,000 DWT Aframax crude oil ship H1436 built by

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding

On May 19, construction of 114,000 DWT Aframax crude oil ship H1436 built by

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for PTM (Pantheon tankers Management)

started successfully.

MOL inks 4 bulk carriers with Chinese shipyards

According to reports, MOL has ordered two kamsarmax tankers with a capacity of

82,000 DWT in a joint venture shipyard established by Yangzi Jiang Shipbuilding Group

and Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding of Japan. Meanwhile, MOL and Dalian COSCO KHI Ship

Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) signed a new ship construction contract for two ulramax

bulk carriers with a capacity of 61,000 DWT.

DSIC-built 308,000 DWT VLCC No. 2 "LANDBRGIGE WISDOM" delivered

On May 22, the 308,000 DWT VLCC No.2 “LANDBRIGE WISDOM” built by Dalian

Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC) for Landbridge Group was officially delivered and

named as "LANDBRIGE WISDOM".

WSW offshore-built 2 PSVs delivered

On May 23, the sister ships "GUO HAI MING XING" and "GUO HAI MING SHENG" built

by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. left the Waigaoqiao

terminal for Tanggu, Tianjin, and will be put into operation soon.

59,990 DWT bulk carrier built by New Ocean Shipbuilding delivered

On May 23, the first 59,990 DWT domestic bulk carrier "XIN XIN HAI" (DY4075) built

by New Ocean Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered.

Port

Two container giants berth at Yangshan Port at the same time

Recently, the world's largest container ship "HMM ALGECIRAS" safely berthed at

Yangshan Phase IV automatic terminal, which has set a new record in its history for

berthing of super large container ships in Yangshan Port. Later, the former world's largest

container ship "MSC FLAMNIA" berthed at Yangshan Phase III terminal.

The world's largest 24,000TEU container ship sets maiden trip to Yantian

International Container Terminal

On the evening of May 7, Yantian International Container terminal in Shenzhen

ushered in the maiden voyage of HMM Algeciras, the world largest container ship.

"NEW RENOWN" VLCC arrives at Sinopec Zhongke Port

On May 8, the super VLCC from the Middle East safely docked at the 300,000 DWT

crude oil terminal of Sinopec Zhongke refining and chemical port and smoothly unloaded,

marking the completion and operation of the port.

Zhoushan XinAo LNG terminal receives imports of more than 600,000t natural

gas

At 18:00 on May 11, the LNG ship "ASIA VENTURE", flagged Bahamas, successfully

berthed at Xin AO LNG terminal, Zhoushan.

Guangzhou-Nansha Port welcomes new routes of North America

On May 15, Maersk "BRIGHTON" successfully berthed in Guangzhou South China

Oceangate Container Terminal Co.Ltd, marking the official maiden voyage of the North

American shipping route, TP1 of 2M to Guangzhou-Nansha Port.

The first maritime & customs joint inspection center for dangerous goods

located in Lianyungang

Recently, the first maritime & customs joint inspection center for dangerous goods was

established in Lianyungang International Shipping Center, Jiangsu Province, which is the

first terminal supervision mode innovation project after China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade

Zone was approved.

The world most efficienct container terminal passes the completion

acceptance

Recently, the Dubai global terminal project (phase II) in Qianwan Port Area of Qingdao

Port contracted by CCCC First Harbor Engineering Company Ltd has passed the

completion acceptance successfully, marking the container terminal with the highest

automatic loading and unloading efficiency in the world has been put into operation.

CCS Latest Developments

CCS-surveyed first oil tanker of 65,000 DWT series delivered

Recently, the first 65,000 DWT oil tanker of

its series, YUAN ZHANG HU, built for COSCO

Shipping Energy transportation Co., Ltd., and

surveyed by CCS Guangzhou Branch, was

successfully delivered. The ship has 224.9m in overall length and 64824.5 DWT in load

capacity. It has the characteristics of large loading capacity and shallow draft. Under the

condition of 11.5m low draft limit, the load capacity of the ship can reach 55,000 DWT.

Compared with the main Panamax ship entering the Yangtze River, the draft capacity is

increased by more than 10%.

CCS offers support in the first domestic project of oil tanker conversion into

internal turret FSO

Recently, the "FENG HUANG ZHOU"

project, the first domestic project of oil

tanker converted into an internal turret FSO,

with its classification and statuary survey

provided by CCS, was successfully completed.

Its naming and delivery ceremony of "HAI

YANG SHI YOU" was held in Youlian Mazhou Island Shipbuilding Base, Shenzhen.

CCS-surveyed FPSO with maximum operating water depth delivered

On May 15, CCS-surveyed FPSO "HAI YANG SHI

YOU" was officially named and delivered in Beihai

Shipbuilding Heavy Industry (BSIC).

Recently, China Classification Society (CCS)

Dalian Branch successfully completed the survey

for sea trial of the 62,000 DWT multipurpose

pulp ship "COSCO SHIPPING XING WANG".
