In Kabul, celebrations were in order at the start of May asCheveners gathered to celebrate the launch of their newChevening Alumni network. After many years of meetingtogether informally, the Afghanistan Chevening AlumniNetwork (known as Afghanistan-CAN) has now beenestablished and registered with the government ofAfghanistan. Deputy Ambassador James Squire officiallylaunched the network at a ceremony at the British Embassyin Kabul, which was attended by over 50 people.
