5.15 Title Page

There are 3 elements in the Title page:

1. Running head for publication

2. Title

3. Byline and institutional

affiliation

Ex. The format of Title Page Individual difference 1<=(PageHeaders)

Running Head

a. An abbreviated title will be used for a running head b. Type the running head from the left margin at the top of the title page but below the manuscript page header in all uppercase letters. c. Don’t over 50 words

a. Type the title in uppercase and lowercase letters

b. Positioned the title in the middle upper half of the page

c. Should be double-spaced

Byline and institutional affiliation

a. Type in the uppercase and lowercase letters

b. Put it at the middle and below the title

c. Sperate the names of the two authors with the

word “and”

ex. Mariah Meade and Sylvia Earleywine

d. Separate the names of the three authors or more authors

with “commas”

Ex. Mariah Meade, Sylvia Earleywine, and Paul Dykes

5.16 Abstract

a. Type the labeled “abstract” in uppercase and lowercase

letters

b. Type in single paragraph

c. Don’t over 120 words.

d. The page header of abstract should be number 2

5.17 Text

a. The page header should be page number 3

b.Type the title of the paper centered

at the top of the page

c.Should be double-spaced

5.18 Reference

a. Should be double-spaced

b. Should be hanging indent format

ex.

5.23 Spelling check

Most word-processing programs have functions that check spellings, but they couldn’t replace the proof-reading article by people. The reason is that the words spelled correctly may be used incorrectly, so word-processing programs just could ensure the correctness of the word spellings.

5.24 Special Instructions for typesetting

Please note on the manuscript any special instructions for alignment, line endings and so forth that need to be preserved when the manuscript is typesetting.

5.25 Number of copies

a. Each journal editor requires a specific number of

copies. (usually three or four)

b. The original manuscript must include glossy or laser prints of any figure.

c. The additional copies includes clear photocopies
