YOU ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

Date and time: September 21, 2015 at 6:30 P.M. at 24 North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Bradley McAloose-Eagle Scout Designee. Bradley has been working toward earning his Eagle Scout goal for many years. He has researched Peace Poles and decided since world peace is an important issue for himself, the boy scouts, the community and the world, to erect a Peace Pole and dedicate it to the community of Tamaqua. The pole will be registered with the International Peace Pole Society for the world to view.

Peace Poles are internationally recognized symbols of the hopes and dreams of the entire human family. There are tens of thousands of Peace Poles in nearly every country in the world dedicated as monuments of peace.

Poles all over the world stand vigil in order to represent peace on earth. Each pole displays the message: "May Peace Prevail on Earth."-In four different languages: English,German,Italian, and Gaelic.

Bradley will lead the Boy Scouts from Troop 777 in the final erection of the pole and dedication in order to demonstrate his leadership abilities.

Brad believes the Peace Pole will be a constant reminder for the community to represent a peaceful attitude regarding any situation they may face.

Invitation: The Tamaqua Boy Scouts Troop 777 would like to welcome all to come to the community to celebrate the International Day of Peace. The pole is positioned on route 309 in front of the Tamaqua Train Station. Attendees should gather rain or shine-around the Peace Pole by 6:30 P.M. September 21, 2015-for a moment of silence for community and world peace.
