This is an opportunity for us to reflect on our past, celebrate our present and share our hops for the future. Ten years ago, the college was established with an aim to meet growing needs of quality engineering education in this region and to work on a simple and straight forward Mantra of Dedicated Faculty, Committed Education. We were fortunate to build a team of faculties and staff who shared the same aspirations. With hard work, with every new initiatives, with every new development and with every lessons learned from our mistakes, we have turned the dream into reality. Success of any academic institute is closely defined by the success of their students. Trust, enthusiasm, and achievements of our present and past students have always been strong motivating factor in all our endeavors. With nearly 5000 engineers coming out of this campus in last 10 years, it is very satisfying to see the way in which they all are achieving their career advancements and contributing to the engineering community and society. Today, the recognition and respect that we have achieved can be equally credited to all involved in this process. Past ten years has shown that if we can dream, we can engineer it. Project Fair – 2019
Project Fair – 2019 for Department of Computer Engineering and Department of ElectricalEngineering were organized on 6 April, 2019 and 10 April, 2019 respectively. Project fair is achance for students to exhibit there project work carried out in final year of their Engineering.The fair is visited by students and faculties of various department. Experts are invited for projectevaluation.
In project fair at Department of Computer Engineering around 105 projects were exhibited. AtDepartment of Electrical Engineering total of 16 projects where exhibited. Three projects fromDepartment of Electrical Engineering were sponsored under Students Starup and InnovationPolicy (SSIP). Prof. Rahul Parmar, Head Department of Electrical Engineering at Shri LabhubhaiTrivedi Institute of Engineering And Technology, Rajkot, was invited as a judge.
Similar event was organized last month in Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
interactions with industries, our placement records and achievements of our alumni are highlycommendable.
I personally consider this to be the beginning. Wonderful momentum towards excellencehas been set-up in last 10 years and now its responsibility of all of us to accelerate this. Efforts ofevery individual, irrespective of what designation they are at, has a vital role to play in this and Ibelieve that together we can better contribute to engineering education and achieve newheights.

Workshop Series on Artificial Intelligence
Department of Computer Engineering has planned workshop series on Artificial Intelligence forthe students of the Department currently in 2nd and 3rd year students. The workshop startedfrom this month in going to continue. The aim of these workshops is to explore the concepts andapplications of artificial intelligence in the real world. These workshops provide an opportunityfor students to develop basic understanding of the principles of Machine learning algorithms.
Skill Development Program
Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Skill Development Program for students ofBE Sem. 6 of the Department during 4-6 April, 2019. The program contained various sessionsthat included selection and use of various machine tools for various manufacturing processes,selection of welding techniques, their equipment and process parameters for different materialsand identifying different components of air conditioning system and troubleshooting of thesame.
Workshop on ASP.NET
Department of Computer Engineering organized workshop on ASP.NET for the student of BESem. 4 at the Department. The aim of the workshop was to introduce to students the concepts ofASP.NET. In this workshop many topics are covered like different server controls, validationcontrols, concepts of SQL server, stored procedure, ADO.Net, managing states, CRUD operations,creating and consuming Web API, etc.

Visit of NCC cadets to INS-VALSURA
Our NCC cadets visited INS-VALSURA under the help of NAVAL Unit-8, Jamnagar on 05th April2019. 21 cadets and 2 faculty members participated in this visit.Besides the information about Indian Navy and recent trends, they also received an interestinginformation about the history of INS-VALSURA and its campus.Cadets got an opportunity to discuss with the staff of Indian Navy about recent technology andthey also visited Spark Trail valsura Museum
Participation in Final Round of Gujarat Industrial Hackathon 2018 - 2019
Student Achievement
Team students comprising of Sutariya Abhishek, PatelPath, Vachhani Parth, Padh Abhijeet, Bakraniya Vishaland Chauhan Amit from Deparment of ElectricalEngineering participated in the Final round of GujaratIndustrial Hackathon 2018 – 2019. The event was heldat Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagaron 6-7 April, 2019. The shortlisting for the in the finalround was after regional round that was organized atAuro University, Surat on 19-20 Feb., 2019.
Around 171 teams with total of 650+ participants wereshortlisted after four regional round participated in theevent. joined the event. The solution proposed by theteam was to the industrial problem posed by Suratbased industry related to mitigation of harmonics byactive harmonic filter. Similar problem was alsoproposed Raymonds Ltd. Students represented theirproject quite well and had good learning experiencebecause of interaction with jury and other participants.

Pool campus drive of Version Systems Pvt Ltd, Rajkot and RKIT Software Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot wasorganized at the Institute for students of BE Sem. 6 of Department of Computer Engineering on6 and 10 April, 2019 respectively. Around 67 and 38 candidates participated in the interviews inboth companies respectively. After rigors rounds of interview One student was selected onestudent was selected by each company.
