The Cheshire Foundation of Botswana (Mogoditshane Rehabilitation Centre, founded in the early 90s provides a wide range of rehabilitation services to about 600 disabled children and adults with disabilities in their respective communities in neighboring villages. This programme involves creating awareness and community sensitization for the visually impaired, it also offers eye screening, referral services and population it serves is 3-4million people spread over 4 districts in both urban and rural areas. It started in 2004.
7 CBR Project of Handicap International Sierra Leone
-Training member advocacy & lobbying skills.-Inclusive education practice in mainstreaming.-Vocation skill / social skills training to youth with development disabilities.
This is an organization for the disabled that started in 1995 and handles school age and adolescence groups with all disabilities. Activities serve 700 people in both rural and urban and also involve creating awareness about HIV/AIDS.
This CBR started in 2005 in both urban and rural areas of Busia, to train, mobilize, counseling on HIV/AIDS, and provide both home based interventions and mobility training for all age groups. It gets 100 participants yearly.
This programme addresses all disabilities and all age groups. It covers 17 s/counties, all parishes and villages in the district (both rural and urban). It also sensitizes people to HIV/AIDS.
This programme started in1996 and provides medical and social rehabilitation services for the physically disabled, vision impaired and epileptics within Mbarara district (urban) serving 5000 people. It caters for all age groups and also offers counseling, provision of ARV and referral services for HIV/AIDS patients.

This is an organization which provides training; create awareness, capacity building and networking DPO which started in 1996 of PWD (visual). It has a serves about 17,000 people in both rural and urban areas from 15-65yrs age.

It is an organization for PWD with learning and moving difficulties of about 600 participants. It offers social and economic employment, counseling and microfinance for PWD or age >5yrs. This started in 2004.
Jairos Jiri Association for the Disabled and the Blind has national residential and community based rehabilitation programmes countrywide. It runs special schools, training colleges, production units, CBR and outreach disability programmes. It services more than 7000 disabled people in their CBR and outreach programmes.
