• Catherine is an Actress

• She is a multi award winning Oscar winner.

• Before she was even fifteen years old she had stared in three on stage plays: Annie, Bugsy Malone, and The Pajama Game.(Catherine Zeta-Jones)

• She got her first big hit on the television screen with the lead role of The Darling Buds of May which is a television show that was very well-known in the UK. (Catherine Zeta-Jones)

• In 2011, Catherine Zeta-Jones announced to the whole world that she was diagnosed with Bipolar Two Disorder

• This is a mental disorder that is commonly known to have caused mood swings, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, and irritability.

DSM-V Criteria

• You must have five out of the nine diagnosed symptoms during a two week duration

• Hypomanic symptoms are present instead of manic episodes.

• Bipolar ii disorder will be more commonly diagnosed than Bipolar i.

• This disorder usually begins to start at age 21.

• These symptoms and problems need to be seen by other people.

• Cannot be explained or caused by drug use.

Treatments information and Approaches :• This disorder is something someone battles with there whole

lives.

• There are five main ways you can treat an depression ii disorder: medication, psychotherapy, education, lifestyle managements, and support.

• You should continue to regularly visit your doctor, take your medication even if you do not feel it works until told otherwise what to do, and be cautious with anti-depressants.

How it affected her:

• She battled with depression everyday.

• She says that some mornings she did not have it in her to get out of bed and anything.

• It all started when her husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. They now are taking a break and im sure that did not help the situation at all.

• She put herself in rehab because of drugs due to be depressed from Bipolar ii.

• This makes her job hard because she is an actress. She has to be at work and on set at the times she is assigned. It is not like she gets to pick when to go to work in that profession.
