INTORDUCTION TO CATARACT
A cataract is a clouding, opacity, yellowing, or accumulation of fluid in the lens of the eye that results in a loss of vision and interferes with your lifestyle. Most cataracts are related to aging, and by the time you reach the age of 70 most people will show some signs of cataracts.
Cataracts occur when there is a buildup of protein in the lens that makes it cloudy. This prevents light from passing clearly through the lens, causing some loss of vision.
Symptoms:Cloudy, fuzzy, foggy, or filmy vision.Difficulty in seeing at night or in dim light.Monocular diplopia.Problems seeing shapes against a background.
