FIBER OPTIC INTERCONNECTING COMPONENTS

CABLE ASSEMBLIES Fiber optic patch cords are made of highest quality SENKO and R&M components that conform to optical interface standards described in IEC/PN-EN 61754. Connector plugs are terminated on modern assembly line SENKO APC 8000 and verified by means of Data Pixel and EXFO measurement equipment: KONCENTRIK – measurement equipment for ferrule eccentricity verification as well as for eccentricity measurements and tuning of terminated connectors. DAISI / DASI MT – optical interferometer for 1,25 and 2,5 mm connectors and MT / MTRJ end face geometry measurements. IQS 12001 – optical connectors and passive devices insertion loss and return loss computer measurement test set; FOT150 – optical connectors insertion loss and return loss measurement test set kit. All offered connectors are compliant with the requirements for interfaces according to PN-EN 61754 and PN-EN 61755. All cable assemblies are compliant with performance standards series PN-EN 50377 and internal standards of Polish Telecom ZN-05/TPSA-044 for environment of U category according to PN-EN 61753-1 (uncontrolled environment, temperature range from –25 to +70°C, relative humidity 5%-95%). Customized products include connectors for use in environmental category E according to PN-EN 61753-1 (extreme environment, temperature range from –40 to +85°C, relative humidity 0%-98%, humidity condensation, industrial atmosphere). Plugs are offered in three attenuation grades: S-standard, P-premium, M-master. Standard – high performance plugs providing very good random mate attenuation performance, compliant with IEC and PN-EN standards as well as corporate TP S.A. standard. Performance of standard grade plugs fulfils requirements of most currently used fiber optic telecommunication systems (SDH, CWDM and CATV). Premium – plugs for most requiring customers, dedicated for use in high-end DWDM systems with high Power levels and in case of tight optical line loss budget. Master – selection plugs, dedicated for test and measurement and for extremely high optical Power levels in optical fibers (>30 dBm). Main geometrical parameters of SM PC and APC plugs

Measurement documentation Each plug is labeled with unique serial number together with manufacturing date (mm/yy) and has insertion loss and return loss test report (against reference plug). FIBER OPTIC DOME CLOSURES OZKS 160 Fiber optic dome closures OZKS 160 are universal enclosures for aerial, underground, buried and fiber optic ADSS cables, for all kinds of telecommunication networks. The closure protects fiber connection points from environmental influence and gives possibility to control the optical fibers. The base and dome is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Heat-shrinkable or mechanical sealing system are applied. Closures may be equipped with pressure control valve or external grounding clamp. The offer comprises three main dome closure types:

MODULAR DISTRIBUTION BOXES PSN Distribution boxes, made of polycarbonate (PC), highly durable (IK-08), non-flammable (UL94-V0), resistant to extreme environmental conditions, RoHS compliant, color: grey RAL 7035, rated IP66 – for both indoor and outdoor applications. The boxes can be fixed to each other by their side walls in various combinations. In standard make boxes have a screw-mounted dome and are prepared for wall mounting. Optional equipment covers:

• covers on hinges, patented locks, • additional cable glands and feedthroughs (D1,D2

and P1,P2 type) and IP67 pressure control valve to prevent water condensing.

Basic PSN elements: • Cable termination boxes equipped with cable glands, holders for spare cable lengths storage, lifting splice

DISTRIBUTION CABINETS MST6 AND MSP6 Universal cabinets for indoor and outdoor applications in FTTX fiber optic networks, and in industrial, corporate or public networks (i.e. copper or fiber based CCTV monitoring) The cabinet’s protection level is rated IP66, mechanical resistance IK-10, flammability UL94-V0. Cabinets also complies with 2002/95/WE (RoHS). MSP6 type cabinets sized 400x600x230 mm are made of reinforced polyester, color grey RAL 9002. MST6 types are sized 400x600x250 mm made of powder painted steel, color grey RAL 7035. The cabinets have ATEX Ex safety certificate for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. SPLICE TRAYS KSP12, KSP24

KSP type splice trays’ size is adapted for storing and arrangement of ribbon fiber splices, mechanical splices and passive devices up to 60 mm length, maintaining bound radius over 30 mm. Interchangeable splice holders enable application of various heat-shrinkable protective sleeves, mechanical splices and passive elements of various dimensions. Installation of other supplier’s holders (3M, Corning) is also possible. Modular extension of splice trays set is simple due to the latch hinges installed on each tray. BURIED CABLE CONTAINERS HDPE The container incorporates a polyethylene body and a cover with support tube which directly carries vertical tension. The body shape provides proper anchoring in the ground. ZZ-PE container make is designed only for cable spare lengths storage. Other makes have a pouch for dome closures installation. The container can usually store from 50 m of Ø16 mm cable to 100 m of Ø12 mm cable. The corners in lower part of the body are formed to enable installation of tight glands for insertion of protective secondary tubes with diameters of 32 mm and 40 mm (three in each corner). Glands can be installed individually by fitter or at make if required. Standard equipment includes cover sealing kit.
