This week we were treated with more wonderful performances from our talented students. Monday’s matinee and evening performances at the Opera House for the recorder concert were spectacular; Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s matinee and evening performances of the St George Performing Arts Festival was an excellent showcase for the talents of our choir singers and dance group. All of the time and effort that the teachers and students have put into their rehearsals was well rewarded as the large crowds appreciated the creativity, skills and participation of everyone involved. Thank you to Mrs King, Mrs Murchie, Ms Jordan, Mrs Nakamura, Mrs Jensen, Miss Martin, Ms Carnell, Mrs Smith and Mrs McElroy for their leadership and coordination of the groups and for providing these extra opportunities for our students. The senior choir get their chance to shine again during the matinee and evening performance today (Thursday) and I am very much looking forward to this event as well. Congratulations To Mr Granger, Mrs Milner and the organising team for organising a wonderful K-2 Athletics Carnival today. Some photos of the day will be published in next week’s newsletter as well as displayed on our digital screens. To all the members of our Junior and Senior Choirs and our Dance troupe who performed so well at the St George Performing Arts Festival this week To Mrs King, Mrs Murchie and Ms Jordan and the wonderful recorder group who performed beautifully at the Opera House this week To our Carlton Debating team who took part in the Premier’s Debate against Rockdale PS yesterday.
