UTM Positive Space Committee The Positive Space Committee aims to foster a sense of community at the University of Toronto and create a safer environment for LGBTQ+ students, staff, faculty, and librarians. All university members are welcome to be a member, attend meetings and participate in the campaign. UTM Indigenous Centre [DV] The UTM Indigenous Centre works to promote equity and inclusion of Indigenous people among students and employees throughout the campus. All students are welcome to attend programs and events associated with the Indigenous Centre, such as monthly lunch and learns, whether they are of Indigenous ancestry or not. UTM Career Centre [DV] The Career Centre offers workshops, programs, and events that cover the foundations for your career journey: resume, cover letter, interview tips, and more! They also offer individual appointments and drop-in services for your convenience. Community on Campus [DV] Community on Campus provides social and volunteer opportunities for students to gain experience supporting broader community members with intellectual disabilities. UTM Campus Council exercises governance oversight of campus-specific matters like UTM’s objectives and priorities, the development of long-term and short-term plans, and the effective use of resources. Students are encouraged to get involved in the council! Campus Safety [DV] For a safe and secure environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors, Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day, year-round. If your situation is an emergency, dial: 905-569-4333. Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre (SVPSC) [DV] Any current student that has experienced sexual violence or sexual harassment can access services through the Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre, regardless of whether an incident happened on or off-campus, online or before joining U of T. Work Alone/Walksafer Program [DV] Whether you are taking an evening class or studying into the night, the Work Alone/ Walk Safe program offers all UTM members services to be escorted anywhere on campus. BikeShare [C12] Want to bike around Mississauga but don’t have a bike? Check out the BikeShare, which rents out bikes for 48 hours, free of charge! They also offer route maps, bicycle maintenance, repair tips, and helmet rentals. Centre for Student Engagement (CSE) [DV] How are you connecting learning to life? Get in touch with the Centre for Student Engagement to discover ways to get involved inside and outside of the classroom, on campus, and in the local community! Work-study, internship and volunteer opportunities are available. UTM Co-Curricular Record (CCR) [DV] The Co-Curricular Record logs your work and involvement outside the classroom on an official U of T document! You will also be able to identify what skills and abilities you have developed from the involvement, which is valuable information for future employers. UTM Student Groups UTM offers various student groups for you to connect with! They represent a breadth of student interests in academic and career areas, social issues, faith, athletics, and more! You can even start your own student group through their online student portal. Academics & International Learning

Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre (RGASC) [MN]The RGASC is the place to go to develop your academic skills and succeed in university! You can participate in their workshops, seminars, and facilitated study groups, or book an individual advising appointment.

UTM Library (Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre) [HM]For a safe, comfortable, and vibrant environment to study, check out the UTM Library. You can study alone, or with friends, in study rooms, carrels, casual seating, and computer stations. You can also receive assistance from librarians, like finding academic sources and citation help.

International Education Centre (IEC) [DV]The International Education Centre provides programs to support international students with immigration, health care, and transition. The IEC is not limited to international students but also supports domestic students’ global learning experience, such as studying abroad and intercultural development and programs.

Office of the Registrar (OR) [KN]

Information & Instructional Technological Services (I&ITS) [CCT]

If you need help with your U of T email, T-card, UTORid, campus printing, Shuttle bus tickets/passes, wireless access, residence internet, and computer labs, visit I&ITS! They are responsible for almost all campus IT ser-vices and provide security and antivirus support and personal laptop hardware/software troubleshooting. They also operate UTM’s Lost and Found.

Accessibility Services [DV]Students who have a physical, sensory, or learning disability, mental health condition, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, or chronic health condition can receive services and accommodations with Accessibility Services. Those who have temporary disabilities are also eligible.

Health & Counselling Centre (HCC) [DV]

The Health and Counselling Centre’s team of health professionals offers medical services similar to that of your family doctor’s office. They also provide short-term, solution-focused counselling and therapy services. They can give you referrals to access community resources when complex and/or long-term care is needed. All services are free and confidential for students.

The Print Shop (Hospitality & Retail Services) [DV]

For printing services, visit the Print Shop located down the hall from the UTM Bookstore. They provide black & white and colour printing and copying, wide-format printing for posters, stationery and business card printing, and finishing services like cutting, folding and binding.

Parking [C2]Parking on campus is available by purchasing and displaying annual or sessional permits, which are sold through the UTM Parking & Transportation Office. Daily permits are also available for purchase from Pay & Display machines located in parking lots across campus.

Shuttle Bus [DH] & [IB]The Shuttle Bus operates between UTM and St. George Campuses and between UTM and Sheridan College’s Trafalgar Campus for UTM’s joint programs with Sheridan. It is free for any UTM student; just present your valid T-Card.

Student Housing & Residence Life (SHRL) [R5]UTM Residence is home to a diverse range of housing styles for students. SHRL are proud to provide a highly supportive, inclusive and enriching living environ-ment for students and their families to meet lifelong friends, succeed academi-cally, and get involved in a supportive global community.

Meal Plans (Hospitality & Retail Services) [DV]

UTM Bookstore [DV]Purchase your textbooks, U of T branded merchandise, technology solutions, and convenience items at the UTM Bookstore. You can also receive student phone plans and software discounts.

If you need academic services or financial advising, including OSAP, grants, bursaries and scholarships, visit the Office of the Registrar. They can also assist you with various forms and petitions.

Conference & Events (Hospitality & Retail Services) [DV]

Are you a UTM/Ulife-recognized student group that needs to book a meeting space or a table to promote your upcoming event? Connect with the Conference & Events team, and they will help you through the process.

UTM Early Learning CentreUTM Early Learning Centre supports any UTM community member who is a parent, foster parent, or a legal guardian. They are a licensed child-care facility and offer childcare information and subsidies to families with limited income.

Save your money by using your TCard and online tracking to pay for food on campus. Meal Plan is open to both residence and commute students.

Blackwood Gallery [KN]

As a UTM student, you have free access to the contemporary art gallery, the Blackwood Gallery. At the Blackwood, you can find curated exhibitions and educational activities featuring the work of local, national, and international professional artists.

Experiential Education Unit (EEU) [DV]The EEU can help you find hands-on, research-driven opportunities where your knowledge is created through the transformation of experience. This includes research opportunities, internships, and more!

Equity & Inclusivity

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Office (EDIO) [DV]

The EDIO works to create a more inclusive and equitable learning, living, and working environment. They organize equity, human rights, and Indigenous initiatives with students and campus partners, including staff and faculty, to make UTM more welcoming and inclusive for its diverse community members. The EDIO also assists students and employees with human rights-based discrimination or harassment concerns.

Erindale Studio Theatre & MiST Theatre [CCT]As the home base for Theatre Erindale, Erindale Studio Theatre offers an entire season of performances featuring UTM students in acting and supporting roles. If you are looking for a venue that is fully equipped and seats 130 people, MiST Theatre is the place! It is available to students, departments, and broader community members.

UTM provides you with opportunities to celebrate your spiritual and faith-based practices on campus by providing prayer and meditation and reflection spaces, as well as faith- and spirit-based campus groups. UTM also encourages interfaith dialogue and spiritual development through initiatives with the Centre for Student Engagement’s Interfaith & Spirituality programming.
