QUESTIONS:
4. Send & Save
5. Change the remaining 25 Sliding Window Demand modules so they
all calculate an average based on a 10 minute interval (same Setup
Registers as Step 5).6. Send & Save
Add a Text Box to describe the changes made1. a Text Box from
the Toolbox, as shown below:
2. on the Text Box and a description, as shown below: 3. on the

Select White and press the OK button
8. When you have finished configuring the Text Box, the OK
button
9. a corner of the Text Box to adjust its size to display the
description and position it neatly on the diagram as shown
below
Examine the Demand Framework diagram1. on the Sliding Window
Demand module icon on the Toolbox.2. In the list of Sliding Window
Demand modules from the Toolbox, on the first module called kW sd
del-rec (= SWinDemand1), as shown below:
QUESTIONS:
3. anywhere on the Toolbox to make the list of modules
disappear:
QUESTIONS:
Copy the description Text Box into the Demand Framework
diagram1. In the Menu Bar, on the word Window. In the list of open
Designer diagrams, on diagram called Demand
Setup[East_Sub.Main].(This will re-open the Demand Setup
diagram).
2. on the custom Text Box created before. This will select
it.
3. With the custom Text Box selected, Copy it using one of three
methods:
Copy icon in the Tool Bar Edit ( Copy + C
4. In the Menu Bar, on the word Window. In the list of open
Designer diagrams, on diagram called Demand
Framework[East_Sub.Main].
(This will re-open the Demand Framework diagram that we left in
Step 31).
5. With the custom Text Box copied to the clipboard, Paste it
using one of three methods:
Paste icon in the Tool Bar Edit ( Paste
+ V
6. on the custom Text Box and position it neatly on the diagram,
as shown below:
QUESTIONS:
Align the row of Convert modules1. Holding down the key, on each
of the Convert modules (Q1 boolean; Q2 boolean; Q3 boolean; Q4
boolean) at the bottom of the diagram to select them:
2. Use the Up Arrow key to position the Convert modules in line
with the And/Or module:
Close the Demand Framework and Demand Setup diagrams
1. the X in the top right-hand corner to close the Demand
Framework diagram.
2. the X in the top right-hand corner to close the Demand Setup
diagram.
Navigate to the Reporting Framework1. With only the main Factory
Configuration diagram open, on the Grouping Object called
Frameworks in a text box labeled Advanced Setup, as shown
below:
2. Navigate to the Revenue Framework and the Reporting
Framework, as shown below:
Examine the Reporting Framework1. To view the source inputs that
are logged for reporting purposes (Energy Demand and Load Profile
reports), on the input arrow of the Data Recorder called EgyDmd
Log, as shown below:

Change the Logging Interval to match the Demand Interval1. on
the Periodic Timer module called EgyDmd Log Trg, as shown
below:
2. Change the Setup Register called Period so that this Periodic
Timer (which controls the logging interval) now fires at the same
time that the Sliding Window Demand modules in this framework
calculate a new demand value, as shown below:
3. Send & Save
NOTE THE TIME:
Close and Exit Designer1. the X in the top right-hand corner to
close the Reporting Framework diagram.
2. Close all other Designer sub-diagrams, until only the main
Factory Configuration diagram is open.
3. Exit Designer, as shown below:
View Logged Demand Values in VistaLaunch Vista
1. Open the ION Enterprise Taskpad that is located on the
desktop of the ION Enterprise client/server computer. Click on
VISTA to launch the Vista application.
2. Enter the following into the logon window that appearsUser
name: supervisorPassword: 0
3. Create a new Vista diagram. File ( New, as shown below:
4. a Data Log Viewer object from the Toolbox onto the new Vista
diagram, as shown below:
5. on the Data Log Viewer and on the Query Server tab:
6. the radio button beside Custom Query Server and on the Edit
Link button, as shown below: 7. on words Query Modules in the
Managers column and then Query 1 in the Modules column and QM1
Query Register in the Output Registers column and finally on the OK
button, as shown below: 8. Confirm that QM1 Query Register has been
linked
9. on the Query tab and on the Edit Query button, as shown
below:
10. on the ION7650 in your system and click the Add button to
place it into the Selected container. Press the Next button to
proceed, as shown below: 11. on the EgyDmd Log and click on the Add
button to select it and click Next: 12. Select the columns to
display in the data table using the Add button and order them
exactly as shown using the small up/down arrows to the right. Click
Next to proceed.
13. Select timestamp and on the Add button. This selection
causes the data to be displayed sorted by timestamp (i.e.
chronologically). Click Finish.
14. the OK button
15. on the Data Log Viewer to view a data table for the above
query:
16. on vertical line between the timestamp column and the node
column and adjust the timestamp column width so that it shows the
full timestamp:
17. Scroll through the data table and find the point in which
the timestamp intervals change from 15 minutes to 10 minutes:
18. Congratulations, you have just confirmed that your
programming modifications to the Demand Framework of the ION7650
meter are working properly. Additional Resources
