Dear investors,as Mayor of the Town of Beli Manastir, it is my pleasure to present to you the first edition ofthe brochure named "Business zone of the Town of Beli Manastir - No limits, just business!",issued with the support of the Ministry of Economy, through the project promoting ourbusiness zone.Aware of the importance of business zones as the core of economic growth anddevelopment, in recent years the Town of Beli Manastir has invested significant funds in theconstruction and utility equipment of the same. With this brochure, as well as other projects,we continue investing in active promotion of business zones, particularly highlighting theadvantages and benefits of starting a business in Beli Manastir.Our business zone is fully equipped with utility, but what we are especially proud is availabilityof super-fast Internet of up to 100 Mbit/s! Modern and competitive economy of the 21stcentury has one prerequisite for rapid and sustainable development, and that is exactly theavailability of super-fast internet. Town of Beli Manastir has this prerequisite provided! Inaddition, we have created the virtual tour of the business zone, which offers potentialinvestors conditions raised to a higher level in order to ensure future investors and visualaccess to the actual locations available online and from the comfort of their armchairs.In addition to the aforementioned, we established Baranja Development Agency of the Townof Beli Manastir, the supporting institution to the Town itself as well as potential investors,which has two main tasks: preparation of projects to be financed by the EU and the relevantministries, as well as providing support to investors from beginning to the end stage of theinvestments. Also, the tasks of the agency is to inform all future investors, as well as thoseexisting in the Town, about open calls for EU funding and the possibilities of applying theirprojects, all in accordance with their activities, providing information about the employmentsupport offers available in Croatia and all the other necessary operational support.

I am convinced that in future, with all aforementioned and realized projects, and with jointforces, we will continue to fill our business zone, create new jobs and enable faster andoverall development of our Town of Beli Manastir.

Poštovani investitori,kao gradonačelnika Grada Belog Manastira, zadovoljstvo mi je predstaviti Vam prvo izdanjebrošure „Poslovna zona Grada Belog Manastira – No limits, just business!“, koju izdajemo usuradnji sa Ministarstvom gospodarstva kroz projekt promocije naše poslovne zone.Svjesni značaja i važnosti poslovnih zona kao jezgre gospodarskog rasta i razvoja, uposljednjih nekoliko godina Grad Beli Manastir uložio je značajna financijska sredstva uizgradnju i komunalno opremanje istih. Ovom brošurom, ali i drugim projektima, nastavljamoulaganja kroz aktivnu promociju poslovne zone, posebno ističući sve prednosti i pogodnostipokretanja poslovanja u Belom Manastira.Naša je Poslovna zona u potpunosti komunalno opremljena, no ono čime se posebnoponosimo je dostupan super brzi internet od čak 100 mbit/s! Moderna i konkuretnagospodarstva 21. stoljeća imaju jedan preduvjet za brzi i održivi razvoj, a to je upravodostupnost super brzog interneta. Grad Beli Manastir je ovaj preduvjet osigurao! Osim toga,izradili smo i virtualnu šetnju kroz poslovnu zonu, čime ponudu uvjeta ulaganja podižemo najoš višu razinu, kako bismo budućim investitorima osigurali i vizualni pristup samimlokacijama dostupan putem interneta i iz udobnosti njihovih naslonjača.Osim ranije spomenutog, osnovali smo i Baranjsku razvojnu agenciju Grada Belog Manastira,potpornu instituciju kako samome Gradu tako i potencijalnim investitorima, koja ima dvijeosnovne zadaće: pripremanje projekata koji će se financirati sredstvima EU i nadležnihministarstava, te pružanje podrške investitorima od početne do završne faze ulaganja.Također, zadatak agencije biti će i informiranje svih budućih poslovnih subjekata sa područjaGrada, kao i onih postojećih, o otvorenim natječajima za sredstva EU i mogućnostimaapliciranja poduzetnika na iste, a sve u skladu sa njihovim djelatnostima, pružanje informacijao ponudi slobodnih radnika sa područja Grada te svu ostalu potrebnu operativnu podršku.

Uvjeren sam kako ćemo svim ranije spomenutim i realiziranim projektima u budućnostizajedničkim snagama nastaviti popunjavati našu poslovnu zonu, otvarati nova radna mjesta teomogućiti brži i svekoliki razvoj našeg Grada Belog Manastira.

At the site of present-day, the Town of Beli Manastir used to be a Roman fort MONS AUREUS(Golden Hill), which has also been discussed and learned by Salagije. Until 1918 it was calledby the Hungarian variant Pélmonostor, which comes from the Latin word monasterium- themonastery. In the Middle Ages, during the Croatian-Hungarian King Bela IV.(1235th to1270th), Hungarian Palatine Moys de Daro in the year 1227.raised the monastery in hispossession in the place called Pel and endowed it with lands. Therefore, the place was latercalled Pels monastery, but as of year 1918. Serbia appropriated Baranja, its name was changedfrom Pélmonostor to Beli Manastir. From the year 1945.it becomes municipal centre withinthe Croatia, and since year 1993. until today The Town of Beli Manastir, part of Osijek-BaranjaCounty.

Na lokalitetu današnjeg Belog Manastira nekoć je stajalo rimsko utvrđenje MONSAUREUS(Zlatno brdo), o čemu govori i učeni Salagije. Sve do 1918. godine zvao se po mađarskojvarijanti Pélmonostor, što dolazi od latinske riječi monasterium, tj. samostan. Naime, usrednjem vijeku, za vrijeme ugarsko-hrvatskog kralja Bele IV. (1235.-1270.) ugarski palatinMoys de Daro 1227. god. podigao je samostan na svom posjedu u mjestu Pel i obdario gaposjedima. Stoga se mjesto kasnije prozvalo Pelov samostan, no kako je 1918. god. Srbijaprisvojila Baranju, promijenila je ime Pélmonostor u Beli Manastir.Godine 1945. postajeopćinskim središtem u sastavu Hrvatske, a od 1993. god. pa do danas jedinica lokalnesamouprave Grad Beli Manastir u sklopu OBŽ.
