motions / kinematics and accelerations.
Wheel force transducers and measuring hubs acquire dynamic forces and tor-ques in the development of vehicles and optimization of vehicle dynamics. The different RoaDyn® wheel force transducers and measuring hubs from Kistler cover the requirements of a wide range of vehi-cles. Wheel force transducers with strain gage technology are recommended for static and long time measurements, and piezoelectric designs for highly dynamic phenomena. The extremely lightweight wheel force transducers are used mainly in 6-component form for measuring the longitudinal, transverse and verti-cal forces (Fx, Fy and Fz) as well as the camber, traction and self-aligning torques (Mx, My, Mz). Special single-component wheel torque transducers only measure the traction torque My. System 2000 is the electronics platform common to all of Kistler's 6-component wheel force trans-ducers. The product line is rounded off with measuring hubs for tire and rim test machines, and non-rotating measuring hubs for durability test stands.
The products of Corrsys-Datron Sensor-systeme GmbH, Wetzlar, a company acquired in 2009, complete Kistler's portfolio of measuring systems for vehicle dynamics tests. As a leading manufacturer of optical measuring systems for over-the-road testing, Corrsys-Datron develops and produces noncontact optical sensors and data acquisition systems for measuring longitudinal and transverse vehicle and wheel dynamics in the testing of motor-bikes, cars, trucks and special vehicles. The optical sensors are based on Correvit® technology and enhance the spectrum of products offered by the Kistler Group with an additional measurement technology.
From a single source Kistler customers now receive a turnkey system for measur-ing wheel forces and accelerations while quantifying their effect on the vehicle as a whole. Corrsys-Datron sensors allow accurate measurement of, for example, the side-slip angle and drift angle of the vehicle. Corrsys-Datron also offers sensors for measuring steering wheel force and consumption.
This brochure shows a selection of the most important sensors and systems from the Vehicle Dynamics and Durability Testing sector. However, Kistler's offering encompasses a wealth of other sensors, systems and custom solutions.
