The ingredients in BRN have been well studied and researched and have each been shown to play crucial roles in the age-old struggle to maintain a healthy body composition.Citrus aurantium is known in other parts of the world as bitter orange, green orange, sour orange, or Seville orange. Early use of Citrus aurantium dates back thousands of years and has been part of traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. They referred to it as “Zhi Shi” and found it effective in the treatment of a wide variety of ailments.

Its natural habitat is India and China, but it is also cultivated in Spain and Madeira. The extract of the unripe fruit contains synephrine, tyramine, octopamine, hordenine and n-methyltyramine. These constituents, especially the active ingredient synephrine, act as a mild stimulant that boosts the metabolic rate, expends calories and increases energy. This stimulation of the

GlossaryConjugated linoleic acid (CLA) A slightly modified form of the Omega-6 fatty

acid, linoleic acid (LA). While CLA and LA share

the same molecular formula, the atoms are

bonded together differently, creating functionally

different compounds.

Piperine An active compound found in Piper nigrum (Black Pepper) fruit. Piperine is reported

to have many health benefits, primarily aiding in

the body’s absorption of phytonutrients.

Synephrine An active compound found

in the rind of the Citrus aurantium (Bitter Orange)

fruit. Synephrine has been reported to increase

energy and metabolism, as well as reduce the
