We are excited to announce that there is a scholarship fund set up in honor of our beloved Director of Golf, Robby Loving through the San Angelo Area Foundation. The Robby Loving Memorial Scholarship Fund is was created in his memory by Kaysie Smashey, family and friends to help youth who participated in organized golf or tennis during their high school years. Robby loved helping young people learn the game of golf as well as enjoyed the game of ten-nis. Robby played golf at Rider High School in Wichita Falls, TX where he traveled all over the United States compet-ing in golf tournaments. His hard work and determination paid off and received a full golf scholarship to Sam Houston State. He then chose to stay in the golf business as a profession and thrived on helping others learn the game of golf. He didn't play much tennis, but always talked about watching it as a young boy with his father. If you are inter-ested in donating to the Robby Loving Memorial Scholarship Fund, you can make a secure online credit card donation by going to www.saafound.org, selecting the "List of Scholarship Funds", and then selecting the "Donate" button at top. Select his Scholarship fund in the pull down (or list in comments section) and proceed. You can also mail a check to the Foundation office, payable to the San Angelo Area Foundation and note "Robby Loving Scholarship Fund" in the memo portion of your check. Thank you for your support and honor for Robby. He would be so proud that his legacy is helping the youth further their dreams.
Bentwood Tennis 2015-2016 Lesson Programming
JR. TENNIS LESSONS with QuickStart!
Junior Tennis Lessons are designed for the beginner to intermediate-level junior tennis players ages 5-12 years. Participants can expect to learn basic stroke mechanics, coordination skills, keeping score, match-play, etc. This group teaches the FUNdamen-tals while keeping the kids entertained with fun and games. We use the USTA’s popular QuickStart curriculum which scales down the court and uses pressure-less balls so kids can actually learn what it means to play tennis! Groups are structured by the ball type/court size, red ball, orange ball and green dot ball to coincide with the USTA Quickstart program. This better devel-ops the players and during the groups they will be asked at time to be mentors to the younger players and get the opportunity to be challenged by the older players/ball type.
Starts Tuesday Sept 1st. Must talk to Pro to get into Class.
Sign up deadline 7 days in advance
2 Days a week $135 / $145 monthly
