9. LITERATURE REVIEW "This is a child they said would not make
it," said Debbie Kowalski, Amy [Kowalski]'s mother and a Coral
Springs resident. "She had no control of her head at all. She could
maybe roll from her belly to her back and smile a little but that
was all. Pretty much, she had no motor abilities. That's the
condition Amy was in when she came to the Achievement and
Rehabilitation Centers of Broward preschool program for disabled
kids in Sunrise.
10. Amy, 3, is one of 115 children with disabilities who attend
the yearlong program at ARC of Broward, a nonprofit private agency
that helps adults and kids with developmental impairments. At the
preschool, kids get free individualized attention, help and
training to match their specific disability. Sanchez, O. (1995).

not enough kindergarten in Turkey for preschool education of

21. Question 10 / SUGGESTIONS What can be done to increase
awareness about disabled children at the age of pre-school ? Aid
campaign could be started via social media. The parents awareness
about education of their disabled children should be raised. The
state should institute more special education centers. We can make
the disabled and non-disabled children friends by making playground
available for the disabled children.
22. CONCLUSION The state does not encourage this topic
enoughly. The private sector ignores this problem. Some parents do
not want disabled children in their childrenss class. Foundations
are not interested in our subjects. We started a campaign at
www.change.org. People support our campaign and they comment so
possitively.
