Easy Pay – Did You KnowBoost Mobile's new installment billing service
Easy Pay launched Nov. 15 for Participating Doors.We hope to have another Open Enrollment soon so additional doors can participate. In the meantime, here is some additional helpful information about Easy Pay.
Easy Pay Customer Text & Email Messages: We are currently sending a text and email to some eligible customers that have had their current device for at least 6 months to let them know they are eligible for Easy Pay. Not all eligible customers are receiving this message. Here’s a message example:
y SMS: BSTFREEMSG: Easy Pay! Introducing a new and affordable option to pay for your new device. http://msg4u.us/xxxx Data Rates may apply. Reply End to Stop
Here is a breakdown of how Easy Pay is reflected on your ePay statement and how the compensation works for an Easy Pay customer.
» SRP Reimbursement: Once the customer pays their Easy Pay Down Payment through the SPG Sales Portal via Credit/Debit Card and completes the transaction, we will reimburse the full SRP of the device within 2 weeks. On your ePay statement, it will display as “Install Bill SRP Reimbursement”.
» SRP Chargeback: If the customer returns their device within the normal 7 day return policy window, we will charge the Dealer back the full SRP (since the Dealer is now in possession of the device). This will display on the ePay statement as “Install Bill SRP Return”. Sprint will also issue an immediate refund to the customer’s credit card, which could take up to a couple days for the customer’s bank to process. The Dealer can then RMA the device or they can sell it to another customer with a $10 React Fee. The device cannot be put back on Easy Pay again.
» Ongoing Residual: Continues as it does today. No change. » Additional Compensation: The Dealer will receive the regular Upgrade Compensation they do today for an upgrading customer, as long as the Easy Pay transaction is completed in the SPG Sales Portal.
Additional Tips:
» Entering Customer Information: y Customer Name: When typing the customer’s name into the Customer Information section, make sure there are no extra spaces anywhere. In order for this transaction to complete, the name entered in the Customer Information section must match the electronic signature entered by the customer on the Contract Review page.
y Customer Address: Be sure to enter a state for the customer’s address and do not leave this field defaulted to “ST”.
y Driver’s License: Only enter the DL State if you are entering a DL Number. If you are not entering a DL Number, then leave the DL State blank.
» Next MRC Due Date: If a customer completes an Easy Pay transaction within 10 days of their next MRC Due Date, their first Installment Billing payment is not due until the following month. This is to account for any returns that may need to take place.
» Returned devices or cancelled transactions: If the Dealer cancels the transaction before completing it or if the customer returns the device within 7 days, we will immediately refund the customer’s credit/debit card for the full Down Payment and Tax charged. It may take a couple days for this to reflect on the customer’s bank statement. Do not call Care to confirm if the customer will be refunded.
» Return Escalations: Please do NOT call Care for any return escalations. Use the escalation steps outlined in the Easy Pay Process Guide located on the SPG Sales Portal > Quick Link > Easy Pay > Easy Pay Process Guide.
» Apple Device Error: If you get an error when activating an Apple device, try that same exact device a second time. (We are working on a fix to resolve this issue).
