What is a blog?

According to WordNet Search 3.0, a blog is a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies.

“Blog” is a short version of

“Web-Log.”

Blog Terminology

• Blog-An online dated diary listing your periodic thoughts on a specific topic, often in reverse chronological order.

• Blogger-A person who blogs.• Blogosphere-The Internet blogging community.

Blog Components & Functions

• Header-The topmost part of the blog usually listing the blog title.

• Footer-The most bottom part of the blog usually listing copyright info.

• Sidebar-One or more columns along one or both sides of most blogs.

• Post/Entry-Individual articles that make up a blog.

• Point your browser to https://www.blogger.com/start

If you have a Google account:– Sign in using username and

password

If you do not have a Google account:– Click Create A Blog – Create an account
