What is BlackBerry ?

BlackBerry is a line of mobile device that was introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager.

The device is known as Blackberry because its black button keys on the black color phone looks like Blackberry fruit seed.

HISTORY

BLACKBERRY was Founded by the Canada based company called RESEARCH IN MOTION(RIM) in 1984

Mike Lazardis serves RIM as its President, and co-CEO

By 1991, RIM developed software to support a complete wireless e-mail systemThe first BlackBerry device, the 850, was introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager in Germany.

The tiny keys on RIM's older devices resembled a group of seeds

The team then considered a variety of seeded fruits and vegetables before ultimately deciding on "BlackBerry”

Plus, RIM's devices were largely colored black

HOW BLACKBERRY GOT ITS NAME?

In 2003, the more commonly known smart phone BlackBerry was released, which supports push email, mobile telephone, text messaging, Internet faxing, Web browsing and other wireless information services.
