Service

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Teaching and Learning, I oversaw or participated in

the creation of the following University-wide reports:

TAWG Final Report: Strategies to Value Effective Teaching (Spring 2019)

Developing a Teaching Assessment Framework for Simon Fraser University (Spring 2017)

Teaching and Course Evaluation Project: Working Group Report (March 2016)

A Proposal for Developing Flexible Education Opportunities (January 2014)

Student Evaluation of Teaching and Courses (November 2013)

As Teaching Fellow for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), I was in charge of the process of

bringing departments and programs onto the Student Evaluation of Teaching and Courses online

platform. I also supervised the FASS Forward program which aspired to get vulnerable students in large

100-level courses more contact hours with Teaching Assistants in order to provide content support but

also to mitigate the sense of isolation such courses foster. Finally, I devised and ran the Improving

Student Experience Grant program which provided small grants to departments so that they could pilot

their own targeted tutoring programs.
