Reason for the BEST program

- a simple, more flexible and more transparent university
- staff feels part of a greater whole and combines their strengthts with those of others
- decision-making is more transparent and processes are streamlined
Starting points
• the optimization of all essential support services for education, research and valorization of Tilburg University (review the structure of the support organization)
• key approach: the bundling of support
• focus on quality and efficiency
• resources released will be allocated to the primary processes (research, teaching, and valorization) and invested in the quality of the support staff

Action plan
Stakeholders at all levels will be involved in action teams on specific topics. The action teams will deliver input for the analysis of the optimal organization of support services:
Alumni relations; Communication & marketing; Education support; Facility Services; Finance; HRM; ICT; Internationalization; Project support; Research support; Secretarial support; Strategic support; Valorization support
Action teams will take into account not only the domain-specific processes, but also the process chains that involve several domains.
