Alvord Finn, chairman , welcomed the group and explain- ed -the organizational setup of Scouting. Afte r meeting the mothers present , Mrs . Finn and the lead- ers who have offered their ser- vices this year had a meeting and it was decided to set a cer- tain number to be admitted into each troop. When this number is reached no more girls will be admitted until additional leaders are obtained and a waiting list will be set up. Girls who are now Scouts will be sent notices by their leaders of the time and place of their meetings. At the present time two leaders for Brownie Troop 33 and two as- sistant leaders for Girl Scout Troop 16 are needed . Program Slated for Year At BHS Meeting Bellport — A 10-point program for 1955-56 was established by the North Bellport Taxpayers associa- tion September 13 at a meeting; at Bellport High school. According to Natale Marchino, president of the group, the pro- gram advocates a school site *iri the North Bellport area, addi- tional school transportation , a drive for complete membership and a traffic light at the intersec- tion of Robinson boulevard and Station road. Also on the group ' s 1 platform for the year are a sig- nal at the BeOport crossing; of the Long Island Rail Road, amendments to the by -laws of the association , a social affair and a charter for the organization. The group is also in favor of a shopping center in the area and safety signs within Pace Park. The - meeting was the associa- tion' s first of the season, with some 70 members in attendance.
