Recite nam neto vie o Vaem poslu koju obav-ljate u Beogradu.Na mestu Direktorke Kancelarije za kulturu i tu-rizam Ambasade Republike Turske nalazim se od2010.godine. Takoe sam odgovorna za jadranskuregiju koja obuhvata Hrvatsku, Sloveniju, CrnuGoru i i z tog razloga esto putujem po regionu.

Kada ste prvi put posetili nau prestonicu i ka-kvi su Vam bili utisci?Ima skoro tri godine, od kada sam dola u Beogradi preseljenje u vau prestonicu nije predstavljalo ve-liku promenu, jer postoji mnogo zajednikih stvariu naem nainu ivota i kulturi. Na primer imamopreko 8.000 zajednikih rei u naem jeziku, to jefascinantno. Rei kao to su kapije, komija, kaika,duek, izme... Dakle, od samog poetka nikada senisam oseala kao stranac ovde, jer su nai stiloviivota toliko slini .Uporedite srpsku i tursku hranu. ta obaveznopreporuujete drugima?Mislim da je naa kuhinja prilino slina, zbog veko-va kulturne razmene - i mi imamo ratluk, baklave,sarme, evape, evrek... Obavezno preporuujemsvima da probaju evape, ajvar, i naravno burek.Na koji nain jaate kulturne i poslovne vezeTurske i Srbije?Odnos izmeu nae dve zemlje u oblasti kulturei turizma je vrlo dobar. Please tell us about your career here in Belgrade.I have been the Director of Turkish Culture and tou-rism office since 2010, meaning I have been respon-sible for developing cultural and tourism relationsbetween Turkey and Serbia. I am also responsiblefor Adriatic Region which includes Croatia, Sloveniaand Montenegro, therefor from time to time I haveto travel to these countries as well.

When was the first time you visited Belgrade andwhat was your first impressions?Its almost 3 years, since I came to Belgrade, and mo-ving to Belgrade didnt really represent the big chan-ge in my life since there are many common things inour lifestyle and culture. For instance we have over8.000 common words in our languages, which is fas-cinating. e words such as kapija, komija, kaika,duek, izme...So from the very beginning I never feltas a stranger here, since our lifestyles are so similar.Compare Serbian and Turkish food.What wo-uld you recommend to Turkish tourists to try?I think that our cuisines are as well fairly similar,due to centuries of cultural exchange. We also haveratluk, baklave, sarme, evape, evrek. To Turkishtourists coming to Belgrade I would recommend totry evape, ajvar and of course burek.

What are the main challanges you expect to facein Serbia and how do you plan to strenghtencultural and business ties?We have very good cooperation and relationbetween our two countries in fields of culture andtourism. Every year according to Turkish tourismdata approximately 160.000 Serbian visits Turkey,and these numbers are growing day by day. Oneof the currently ongoing projects is opening of theYunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Belgrade.
