ScienceQuest Day Camp at Adventure Science Center provides awide range of science enrichment programs for youth in gradesK-6. Programs combine science, technology, engineering andmath. Science Quest Camp is based on the dual philosophiesthat children learn by doing and that play is the work of children.ASC's unique space is a fertile environment for inquisitive mindsto blossom. Intersession camp is March 18-22 and Spring BreakCamp is March 25-29. Pre-registration is required and fees startat $45/day. Stand Up/Speak Up Students' Rights [email protected] Intersession, the ACLU of Tennessee will be offering StandUp/Speak Up, a students' rights conference forhigh-school age students. Proposed conferencetopics include free speech (online and offline),freedom of the press, religious freedom,interactions with law enforcement, LGBTequality, the right to privacy and tools for change.These interactive sessions will provides studentsthe opportunity to learn about their constitutionalrights and responsibilities, network with youthfrom many schools to discuss civic engagementopportunities, and learn strategies for creatingchange. The Bellevue Edible Learning Lab (BELL) Garden is an acre onschool grounds that is devoted to outdoor, hands-on learningthrough gardening. In this Intersession, students will participatein all aspects of planting a Spring garden. We will incorporateeducational activities to tasks such as preparing soil for gardenbeds, learning about compost and decomposers (aka worms!),and planting seeds and transplants of early Spring crops. Welook forward to celebrating the official beginning of Springduring this truly unique program."

This is a fee based program open to middle school students inthe community for $120, which includes materials and a healthy

snack each day. Regional Centers will be offering daily sports, fitness andrecreation activities for school-aged children during springbreak and intersession. Activities will be scheduled between9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and includebasketball, volleyball, badminton, flag football, greenwaywalks, trail runs, indoor and outdoor soccer, dodgeball,kickball, crafts and games competitions. Some centers will alsooffer indoor swimming sessions. These recreation activitiesare offered on a drop-in basis and should not be regarded as
